Why?

Let's just say the team is increasingly and visibly responsive to and reflective of the urges of its fanbase and leave it at that.

Man, AJ Hinch makes some absolutely brain dead moves with his pitching staff. Pulled McCullers with a three run lead, tossing a two hitter and only 81 pitches after the Aaron Judge homer. The dude absolutely panics when it's crunch time.

Dodgers will choke to the Cubs, though. :( I know they're not winning today.

The Cubs barely got past the Nationals and couldn't take advantage of a mediocre Kershaw start. This series will be a 5 game gentleman's sweep at most. Maddon's hipster know-it-all aura is unraveling before our eyes along with his team. I'd start thinking about setting the roster for the WS if I were Roberts.

Yeah, so we're getting a Yankees Dodgers World Series. giphy.webp

I just hope the Yankees kill the Dodgers dreams as hard as they kill everyone else's dreams.

I don't know... Yankees still have to win in Houston, and that means beating Dallas and Verlander again. Dodgers seem to be doing okay in this game so far, but that could change at any point, and one win by the Cubs really will change the momentum of the series a lot. I would still put money on the Astros over the Yankees.

From what I've seen, the Yanks are really good at home, but haven't been so good on the road, barring one particular Game 5 win, of course. But who knows, maybe now that Judge seems to have found his way, the Yanks will follow.

But let's be honest... If anyone expected an ALCS other than Cleveland-Houston, well, they'd be great at betting. How many people honestly thought it'd be something other than that? Especially when both teams went up 2-0...
