The_Admiral
Having a zero as their logo this season would be too on-the-nose. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
mcj882000
That image perfectly captures the Senators philosophy of "we have no idea what we're doing".
Ark
The 0 is not a good logo. If the Sens were the original team that would probably be their logo, but they aren't the original team. And they've had way better logos.

habsfan1
It's just that a lot of fans think the =O= is kinda a better representative of...well...a Senator than a Spartan character does. The roman figures are obviously more marketable and are superior designs, compared to a simple letter O. That's a main reason why there's been an identity conflict going on for forever. The 3D Spartan is bolder and stands out more than the 2D one. The 2D would make a great secondary to the 3D, so how come they don't use it anywhere? You mean the franchise. I'm sorry but just because they share the name of the team that won all those cups a century ago does not make it the same club. They share a name, yes. That's it. It's fine to throwback to a city's history with a uniform or tribute night or something but the way this 1992 expansion team larps as a historic entity is pathetic. Next we'll see the Winnipeg Jets hang a banner for their 1968 Super Bowl Victory.

They've needed something to set them apart from the Leafs, since they re-branded to a blue uniform. It got worse, when the Leafs changed & now use the same waist stripe. And also, for the love of god, bring back the victory stripes.

SFGiants58
An updated 2D Senator on this jersey (with a better font for numbers, because Serpentine is a garbage font) would be perfection. Binghamton demonstrated how it’d look good as a white sweater. Save the barberpole for a third, to honor the pre-1992 history of Ottawa hockey. Also. don’t half-ass it like the old alternates and their wildly inconsistent stripe widths. Shameless plug alert: I went with that alternate as the base for Ottawa’s primaries in my Nike NHL series and it looks fantastic. Obviously it looks better as a real jersey than as a raster image, so the BSens got it right. While using the expansion logo on the banners was a mistake (which has since been corrected), I don't see any problem with honouring those past teams. People don't seem to complain about the Winnipeg Jets hanging Avco Cup banners in their arena.
Kevin W.
Well, the Jets shouldn't, but they aren't as in-your-face about it as the Senators are.
