I've said this and I'll say it again, state or province flags don't belong on a jersey. Most of them would clash with the jerseys color scheme anyway. The current jerseys have the right amount of yellow and black between both jerseys. The current road is a million times better than what they wore in the 70's-80's. This jersey has WAY too much yellow. The current has a much better color balance with the black and yellow when you compare it to the home. (The home with gold socks... B-mer Posted September 20, 2018 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I love the old Bruins jerseys, but as a uniform they were definitely unbalanced. The gold socks with the black jersey was so unbalanced. With the gold yokes you're fine and it's classic, but without it really sticks out (not that the solution should be black socks either). The white version also just looks really dated now. I love their current uniforms. I'm even used to the black socks and don't mind them much, though gold would be an improvement. The one on the right should have replaced the flags. If Calgary wanted to keep the flags around, then they should put them on the helmet. I remember the Flyers use to have the US flag on their helmets during the Lindros years or around that time. I guess the Flames are spending all their time trying to get taxpayers to build them a new stadium to realize how awful their jerseys are. At least, fix the damn socks.
