Cowboys are going B (matte w/ brand)/W/O for Bedlam--the color scheme from their last Bedlam win in 2014.

This is a beautiful matchup.

Other great matchups today:

UNC (cb/w/cb) vs Duke (w/b/w)

VT vs Pitt (in throwbacks)

WSU vs CU (dark silver/black/dark silver)

OSU vs. Sparty (noted above)

Wisc (white masks) vs. PSU.(pretty classic B10)

South Carolina (g/w/b) vs. Florida (o/b/w)

Honorable mention

Kentucky (b/w/w with blue facemasks (?)) vs Tennessee (as someone said weeks ago, Vols need pants stripe)

Virginia's white/orange/white looks good...just needs navy blue facemasks.

Tulane (great w/g/w unis)

FCS: Maine has great helmets.

A lot of good looking games today, especially in this 3:30 et window.

Ugh… Minnesota’s attempt to “Salute to Service” by recoloring their already tacky helmet oars as US flags look like strips of bacon from behind. ?

These Notre Dame uniforms are awful

Mike Tirico just summed it up perfectly:

"Blue on green is NOT announcer friendly."

I like Notre Dame’s green jerseys. The Kelly green is an improvement over the darker green they’ve worn in the past. One thing about them, and all of Under Armour’s jerseys actually, is that the numbers seem too small. Notre Dame really bugs me bacause the numbers are a bit on the thin side anyway.

I know quoting yourself is bad form, but I’d like to amend my previous statement about Notre Dame’s green jerseys. The Kelly green does not look good on TV. It reminds me of pea soup or bile?, maybe  a kiwi. I do appreciate that they tried to include navy blue in the uniforms with the blue socks and numbers but the blue numbers are hard to read from any appreciable distance. Flipping the numbers so they are gold with blue trim might work but white numbers would probably be best. In summation, I like the idea of the uniforms a lot more than the execution.

I dunno... I'm one of the original grumpy old guys on this site, and I think I kinda like these ND uniforms.  I like that green anyway.

I'm a sucker for bright green, tho.

If the green was darker and the numbers were gold I wouldn’t have a problem. The putrid green color and blue numbers is what I don’t like about them.

I really like the green. The problem was pairing it with all that navy.

agreed! they look pretty darn good. best green jerseys they've had since the bush push. and with all the superstition surrounding ND's greens, I wouldn't even want them to bring that one back!

The green color is pretty close to Oregon's apple green unis. In fact the gold/green/gold almost looks like an Oregon uniform.

The color of bile is way, way worse than this.

Well for the record I’m not a huge fan of Oregon’s green either, but it definitely works better with the ducks bright yellow than it does with Notre Dame’s rich gold.

Okay, a rant on something that didn't even happen... I could talk all day about how Mark Richt drove me insane when he ran Georgia's program. Kirby's got it turned around, but one lasting part of his predecessor's legacy that just will not die is the idea that the black jerseys are somehow special, magical, and/or motivational. Half the fanbase thinks they're cursed because we lost to Alabama while wearing black 10 years ago (we've lost to them 3 times since then in red, but okay) and that we should never wear them again. The other half clamors for them every time there's a big home game late in the season.

The game we call "the blackout" was against Auburn in 2007. Richt asked the fans to wear black for the first time, and there were rumors all week that the team would wear the jerseys. During warmups, they wore red. When they ran out of the tunnel, they were in black, and the stadium damn near exploded. Ever since that Bama loss in '08, those jerseys exist as only rumors and whispers (save for the odd choice of wearing them against ULL in '15). The staff will never confirm or deny that the team will wear them. We never know for sure until kickoff (and I half expected us to make a switch at halftime yesterday). Yet they seem to make sure we know they exist (this from a July tweet from the equipment staff):

Anyhow, it's enormously frustrating that we never wear them. Black is a team color. The black jerseys are beautiful. When we have recruits visit UGA, they get a custom jersey and they always choose the black one. Wear the damn things! Does any team have its head up its own ass more than Georgia does about a jersey? It seems like half of NCAAF trots out a completely different uniform every week.

Maybe not more than Georgia, but I would say Ohio State's traditional stripe jerseys (brought back in 2014 by Nike for the special Diamond Quest jerseys). Ever since the 2016 shutout against Clemson, the team has worn neither the red or white versions of the jerseys. Personally, the scarlet jerseys are my favorite but I much prefer the white version over the usual white jersey.

I would love it if Nebraska went to this century gothic-like font full time. Beautiful.

If they just changed the font on the normal unis, it would be great. I didn't like  the helmets, the leather helmet wrap was too light. At first I thought they were wearing plain white lids.
