Atlanta Argonauts

Location: Atlanta. Georgia, USA

Colors: Blue (Pantone 653 C), Peach

 

The "Argonauts" name is there to distinguish this team from other Atlanta teams. The real story is with its color scheme. Originally it was blue, gold, and peach. The blue and gold were/are derived from Atlanta's city flag, and peach comes from Georgia being the Peach State. Seeing a redundancy with the gold, they nixed it for the team colors you see below. The "Mavericks" name comes from the team representing the two Carolina states, and it's reflected in the color scheme. The black comes from the University of South Carolina, and the Carolina Blue comes from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Here is the team evolution:

Memphis Pharaohs

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, USA

Colors: Yellow (Pantone Yellow C), Black, Purple (Pantone 254 C)

 

Named for the fact that Memphis is named for the Ancient Egyptian city, this team has embraced the motif of the aforementioned civilization. The color scheme is supposed to resemble a night sky in Ancient Egypt. They nixed the red color in NARBA 2.0. Here is the team evolution:

Named for the people in Louisiana that brought about a new American cuisine, the color scheme is assembled from the two University of Louisiana schools in Monroe (maroon) and Lafayette (cayenne red). Here is the team evolution:
