It's hard to believe that they were in the World Series just three years ago.

And the Royals (currently 16 games under .500) won it all.

Cubs and Indians fans, brace yourselves for a plummet.

I wonder if team records are more volatile season to season these days. Even the Red Sox of 2010s vintage had their World Series championship bookended by one last-place finish before and two last-place finishes after.

Man, for being the best team in baseball these Red Sox are an utter snooze.

They’d be more fun if the local cranks didn’t demand they stop the fun outfield dances.

its baseball! Nearly everyone’s a snooze.

Jim Joyce cost Armando Galarraga a perfect game 8 years ago today. Had the call been made correctly, I wouldn’t remember either of their names.

Looks like the Yankees may boycott ESPN Sunday Night Baseball because they want to air a game with the Toronto Blue Jays on July 8.(A Jays home date, by the way)

2 problems are....

A] the Yanks would need to fly out of Toronto to play a double dip in Baltimore the next day,

and...

B] TSN in Canada would not be allowed to air that game at all, because Sportsnet's Jays territory covers all of Canada, and to be honest, short of MLSE buying the Jays and their venue(and renaming it back to SkyDome ;-)), I don't think Rogers wants the Jays on a Bell TV channel ever again.

=P

Wait, the Orioles didn’t lose? For two games in a row?

Well, I finally got tickets to a Reds game in Cincinnati. The game is on the 30th of June and they're playing the Brewers. This was probably not the most convenient time to go considering how bad they are (plus, they're playing a superior opponent, but that's everybody right?), but the prices were relatively cheap... and I haven't been to the city in eight years.

They played the Mets.  A Little League team could beat the Mets right now.

Tbh that’s what I would have said about the O’s before this series

Alright, I'm done. Just gonna switch to my AL team from here on out... who are somehow good.

Welcome aboard, man. Just don't be upset if I have to throw you off the wagon when they hit their usual summer swoon.

Not an Angels fan but that sucks. He was really a truly special dude and baseball is a little less exciting now.

Couldn't it be possible that he return in 2019 as a permanent DH and not pitch until 2020?  That way he'd essentially be on a similar timetable to Seager.

Strickland didn’t hit Harper yesterday in their first meeting since their donnybrook. Crawford, who is on absolute fire took Scherzer deep, and the Giants won a series in DC for the first time since 2010.
