Wuh oh, looks like Ohtani needs TJS. Possibly out until 2020(!).

MIGHT need TJS. Reports are kinda iffy right now. Sure hope he doesn’t need it though, because Ohtani is the best thing in baseball right now.

Don’t look now, but the Cubbies are in first. The Brewers decided they didn’t want to win today (specifically Hader). Let bum ass Heyward get a hit to tie the game, all down hill from there.

Right now, Wild Card seems very realistic for the Cardinals. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Brewers are in third place in the central by the break though. Cubs seem to be in control of the NLC.

Heyward has actually been hitting very well recently.

As long as he hits well against the Brewers and drops balls against the Cardinals, I’m fine. Honestly, the Cubbies can just run away with the division now. I can live with that.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-cubs-steve-cishek-brian-duensing-outfield-20180613-story.html

manager Joe Maddon successfully orchestrated a series of moves that featured relievers Brian Duensing and Cishek splitting time in left field in the eighth inning.

“It was a little terrifying, to be honest,” said Duensing, who hadn’t played the outfield since 2001 — his senior year in high school.

Duensing borrowed the glove of reliever Justin Wilson because it was bigger than his model. Neither pitcher was tested as no balls were hit to left until Willson Contreras replaced Cishek in left and battled the sun to catch Christian Yelich’s drive to end the eighth.

This marked the first time Maddon had used a pitcher and then moved him to another defensive position since he had done so with left-hander Travis Wood on July 31, 2016, against the Mariners.

Maddon said he elected to shuttle Duensing and Cishek between the mound and left because he wanted to preserve the rest of the bullpen in case the game went into extra innings.

Cishek went to left after Duensing was summoned to strike out Eric Thames, and they traded places before Lorenzo Cain grounded to second.

Maddon thought about intentionally walking Yelich so Cishek could face Ryan Braun but elected to pull Cishek and insert Contreras in left so Duensing could pitch to the left-handed hitting Yelich.

Crazy Joe is managering again. You guys like these moves?

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Geez, just a couple short days later and look who has the best record in the National League.  Funny how for someone who thinks the Brewers are so insignificant, you sure can't seem to stop talking trash about them literally every chance you get... while you're excited about the mere possibility of a wild card, at that.

But by all means, continue to do you, and represent The Best Fans In Baseball™!

Congrats on the big series win at Wrigley North! Always tough to beat the Cubbies on the road. At least the Cardinals have fans. Unless Milwaukee is playing the Cubs or Cards, the team is luck to draw 20k.

The Brewers are the perfect example of a “pretender”.

The Brewers play in baseball's smallest market, yet still manage to be in the top half of the league for attendance even in losing years, but okay.  It must really bother you to see them ahead of the Cards in the standings. ?

Besides, even other Cardinals fans have told you you're full of s#!t.  But if you wanna be "that guy" who perpetuates every Cardinals fan stereotype, don't let me stop you.

Full of :censored: meaning they don’t agree with my standpoint on the Brewers organizational decisions? I can live with that.

...and Evan Longoria broke his hand. Oh dear.

Ah well, at least our beloved Panda can return to his old spot and still be the guy to hit the walk-off home run to win the World Series against the Red Sox! ?

Also, bullpen is overworked with little rest over the next few series. Again, oh dear.

It may seem bad, but it is an absolute blessing in disguise. He can't blow games while on the DL and his raging dickery won't get the team in trouble anymore.

F*** Hunter Strickland.

I’m very happy he did this because it shows his true colors and validates the way I’ve felt about him for years now. There is ZERO place in the game for a guy like him. The dude is absolutely unhinged and doesn’t deserve the privilege of being a pro ball player if this is the garbage he’s gonna pull.

Im just happy that his latest “victim” was a door (which still clowned him) rather than, I dunno, some random Nationals player’s head.

Ive hated a LOT of Giants players before this for many different reasons. Some totally valid, some totally ridiculous. But Hunter Strickland is the only player that’s made me actively root against this team.

Just too bad that the Diamondbacks are just as hot. Let’s see how you guys do against the Cubs

Much in the same way that the rumors the Mets are a Major League Baseball franchise were also greatly exaggerated.
