Ohtani still retired 27 consecutive Oakland A's batters from the end of his last start to through this one. A hit on the first major league pitch he saw. Back-to-back-to-back days with a home run. Two wins. 12 Ks in 7 innings of 1-hit baseball. GriffinM6 Posted April 9, 2018 Share Posted April 9, 2018 I know the Pirates strength of schedule so far hasn't been great and a big early season test is coming up next series against the Cubs, but I'm pleasantly surprised by the way they're playing right now.
