They cannot survive with these gates.

Don't worry, this is trash football too.

And yet millions of people watch and attend college and high school football. Interesting. I guess 'trash football' has a market.

I can't believe a minor league football team can't sell out Legion Field, which usually sits empty for its college football team as well. Truly wild stuff.

Tech companies suck as selling seats for football, even if they are at $10/each or a BOGO.

mkg74,

I am an adult male in my early-40's who is addicted to football, but realize that the sport is not good for youth.  While it is not as addictive as tobacco, it is slightly less damaging, yet the research is not fully known.  We don't need more cigarette brands and we don't need more football leagues.

While there might be a few dozen of players who were cut from NFL rosters still thinking that were good enough and thousands of others who from HS, JC< or even NCAA/NAIA football who claim that "politics" kept them from going pro yet it was really their lack of talent, there is not a need for this league, the XFL, the Americal Patriot League, even Brian Woods' Spring League mess which was formerly the FXFL.  There are always people who will prey on the poor for football and those poor folks will think of it as a chance to get rich, but the price they pay success or not is often debilitating.  Our recently revived, CTE thread lays most of it out medically, but financially, new leagues are always underfunded because folks really don't want to pay even $5 to see very spare football.

Plus the AAF has not really met any of their promises regarding gameplay or technology.  The app isn't as functional as they promised. All games were to be streamed until on the day of the CBSSN games they say those games are not available on the app, so some YouTube steam is set up.  I could go on, B.

The military is pretty dangerous too and it could easily be said they prey on the poor for their ranks, perhaps we should do away with that too? Heck man, life is dangerous, maybe we should all just sit in our houses and hope we don’t slip and fall in the shower.

HS teams are mostly supported by the parents of the players and the locals. They’ll watch their kids do anything.

17,319.  At least those police checkpoints helped.

Not acceptable. Disappointing. I’m pretty sure UAB draws much better than this. Lol

The vast difference between football and soccer attendance proves that false. They attend because it's football. Over basically any other sport.

Manziel is making a go of it but he's been no great shakes in the weak ass CFL to date...

The CFL’s going to be the only league standing out of these “alternative football leagues” when it’s all said and done.

The CFL will always be weak ass. Put that league down here in the states it would’ve folded long ago.

They will win via "Alternative Football Leagues" Death Match Battle Royal as a surprise entrant.

It almost did but it survived, so it can survive an onslaught of alternate football leagues.

I didn’t know football was essential to national security.

Here I am, inhabiting the planet for nearly 29 years and I didn’t know this until now.  I’m a simpleton.
