So basically the AAF has two Nathan Peterman's in Simms and Hackenberg.

Simms, to his credit, is 3rd in the league in yards. But has 2 TDs and 6 INTs. Hackenberg is a dumpster fire with 277 yards, no TDs and 3 INTS. John Wolford of Arizona had 2 yards less in the first game! He seems to be pretty good but got knocked out this weekend.

Logan Woodside for San Antonio seems to be pretty bad too, but has 2nd most passing yards.

Luis Perez of Birmingham still doesn't have a passing TD for a 3-0 team. They've been giving it to Richardson up close, and their defense has been stout.

Gilbert is far and away the best QB in the league.

Wait... The guy who killed his girlfriend and put her in the trunk is into the AAF?

Weird.

"Stan" is (n) "an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity" or (v) "be an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity", though it's also not just limited to celebrities, it can really be anything. It came from the internet and is named after Stan the obsessed fan from the Eminem song of the same name.

So in a sentence, "Jimothy is such an AAF Stan" or "Look at Bartholomew Stan for the AAF".

Why couldn't they flip the Memphis-Atlanta game to the crappy app that no one has and put Birmingham-Orlando on CBS Sports Network? I think that would be far more interesting.

CBS Sports airs the Sunday afternoon game. Switching dates is a lot different than just moving games up or later in the same day.

They could always just switch broadcasters if NFL Network would air an afternoon game. Or move it to 8pm and have two games at the same time as week 1.

The Week 5 game between Orlando and Birmingham, which may be a game of undefeateds is the early Saturday game on B/R Live. It's unlikely to be moved to the primetime window as that is a Fleet home game and I doubt they'll play at 11 AM.

This week they have the combine but Week 5 has Birmingham playing Orlando on the app. That's probably their best game all year!

What's worse is the Orlando-Birmingham winner might be clinching a playoff spot. If Memphis and Atlanta remain winless. And the loser might clinch in Week 6.

And the second Orlando-Birmingham game is scheduled for week 10. And the playoffs are the top two in each division playing each other. So week 10 might just be a battle to see who gets to host the third game the very next weekend.

The one thing a new league has to promote is stability.   A confidence that the people in charge know what they’re doing and are in it for the long haul.  Obviously, they’re doing much the opposite.

I'll say it before he posts, but their employee who is a member here strongly disagrees with you. 🙂

heck, in this case what you and I see is actually more important than what their employees see.  They've got to convince the general public, after all.

Why isn't Starter advertising the heck out of its' gear?

Because Starter's parent company, Iconix, has a $hitload of distressed or dead clothing brands from the 70s-00s.

Brands like: Pony, Candies, Ecko Unltd., Joe Boxer, and London Fog.  Outside of AAF apparel, Starter is basically an Amazon brand.

Plus, their stock peaked four years ago and is now at 19 cents/share after descending like a roller coaster.
