smzimbabwe
New Zealand has names for all their national teams, rugby is the All Blacks, basketball (men's) is the Tall Blacks, baseball is the Diamondbacks, badminton is the Black Cocks (begin giggling now), softball is the Black Sox, and so on down the line. is this just a New Zealand thing or do other countries have names for their national teams? Gothamite
Pretty much all national teams have names. They're just not promoted as heavily as club names are. South Africa's rugby team is the "Springboks", that's one of my favorites. Australia's "Socceroos" are another. England is the "Three Lions" in football, The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! AnPheitseog
Les Bleu*e*s IS the general name for any of the national teams of France. You see it a lot more in New Zealand because of the heavy rugby influence. Formerly known as DiePerske
