Red Wolf 5,552 Posted May 6, 2018 Okay, NHL. Go ahead and initiate the rigging protocol. Stop messing around, guys.

BeerGuyJordan 1,305 Posted May 6, 2018 I don't like having to win two in a row to get by this Jets team. This may be where the Preds lose the series.
Seadragon76 861 Posted May 6, 2018 I think he isn't around to potentially jinx Winnipeg here even though they're up 6-2 here. Last thing you want is this lead blown sky high knowing that the Winnipeg Whiteout is going to be ready for another chance to make history on Monday night.
FiddySicks 11,050 Posted May 6, 2018 The Western Conference Finals is probably about to be Winnipeg vs Las Vegas. Go back ten years and tell yourself that.

SabresRule7361 553 Posted May 6, 2018 Looks like we're not gonna get a Stanley Cup Final rematch

Hell we might get a Tampa Bay vs. Las Vegas SCF. Go back 30 years and people would laugh in our faces if we told them that.
SabresRule7361 553 Posted May 6, 2018 Penguins have played a lot of hockey the last two springs. Might the mental/physical fatigue of all these deep playoff runs finally be catching up?
Crabcake 1,706 Posted May 6, 2018 So is the NHL gonna suspend Guentzel for that high hit on Carlson or are they just gonna look the other way again cause it’s the Penguins?
Dalcowboyfan92 415 Posted May 6, 2018 Foot. On. The. Throat. It's time to repay Pittsburgh for a decade plus of playoff torture. Don't let this series go the distance.
Crabcake 1,706 Posted May 6, 2018 Guys, I’ve seen the script for the rest of the series. It’s not pretty. Penguins jump out to a 2-0 lead after 1, Caps come back and score 2 in the second and another in the third to take a 3-2 lead. The Penguins then tie the game with 1:25 remaining on a deflection with the net empty, win the game on a PPG in OT off of a Crosby dive, then win Game 7 1-0.
FGM13 767 Posted May 6, 2018 I’ve never been more sure that a team behind in a series will win the series than I am with Pittsburgh. It almost feels like they have Washington right where they want them.
ozzyman314 299 Posted May 6, 2018 Anyone think the officiating has been even more atrocious than usual with these playoffs? Or has it just been the Bruins-Lightning series? Not trying to makes excuses, as I've seen some horrendously missed/no calls on both teams.
MiK 318 Posted May 6, 2018 After game 1 if you said this series would end in 5 it could have only meant a B's win - what a turnaround.
Alex Houston 342 Posted May 6, 2018 Good for Tampa. It'd be nice to see Caps/Bolts in the East since we're almost certain now to see Jets/Knights out West.
ozzyman314 299 Posted May 6, 2018 Can't even really be upset at the outcome. After Game 1, Bruins were just so thoroughly outplayed in every way that matters. I still think The ECF is a formality though. Whoever wins The West is winning The Cup. Also imagine telling Boston fans a month ago that Bruins would lose in 5 in the 2nd round, and The Celtics would look to being sweeping their 2nd round series.
SabresRule7361 553 Posted May 6, 2018 I keep underestimating Tampa. And they keep making me look stupid.

It's a matchup nightmare, and it's a psychological nightmare. The two advantages the Lightning had coming into this series was that they had a full week of rest while Boston had to drain themselves to beat Toronto, and the Lightning had the home ice advantage, so even if their terrible road history in Boston held true to form, they still had a way to win this series. And today, in addition to totally blowing both advantages they had, they renewed every fear that I had about this team in this matchup: Vasi's dreadful 2nd half form Atrocious penalty kill Inability to keep Boston's top line even moderately in check In order for me to feel good at all about their chances in this series, the Lightning needed to win today. And they gave me every reason to remember why I wanted Toronto so much instead in this round. If this series goes more than five games I'll be surprised. The Bruins are the better team in every way that matters. Just a little more proof that nobody should ever listen to me about anything.
