The only good things to come out of Color Rush are the Saints, Giants, Broncos and Cowboys faux-back jerseys (and pants) which I hope we get to see them wear as alternates more frequently next year. The_Admiral Posted April 11, 2018 Share Posted April 11, 2018 Gothamite had an interesting theory on Color Rush (don't remember whether he came up with it or brought it in from elsewhere), which was that the NFL was really shopping smartphone rights around and wanted to optimize uniforms for tiny screens by reducing them to single-color blobs. It's bad enough that football is already less a sport than it is a TV show. I mean, there are some teams which can pull that off. For example, Buffalo's red jerseys can be combined with their regular white pants. That wouldn't be bad, right? If the uniform you describe is the Bills best look, why shouldn't they wear it all the time? And if it isn't, why would they wear it at all? BelfourThibault Posted April 11, 2018 Share Posted April 11, 2018 Not sad to see this go. I did like the Bengals color rush, although I'm sure that's an unpopular opinion. I live in Cincinnati, so Bengals stuff is everywhere and I've been exposed to it more than the others. Needs: Broncos: white pants with navy/orange/navy stripes Saints: I'm okay with the white pants they worn, and sticking with the old gold is a must Patriots: I guess they'd stick with silver pants, but navy/red/navy stripes? Trying to think of other stripe combos that would look really good. Red/white/red on silver probably looks too football-movie-ish. Smart is believing half of what you hear.
