So on one hand, we now have "LeBron's teams weren't as good as Jordan's in the regular season" as a pro-Jordan argument.

On the other, we have "actually, 60- and 59-win teams are garbage" as an anti-LeBron argument.

I think I'm just gonna step out for a little while.

I'm enjoying what I'm reading. I like fact-based arguments with nuance.  Some of you are trying to ignore that nuance, but that's a you problem.

Would it be fair to say that Magic was the best player of the 80s, Jordan the 90s, Kobe the 00s and Lebron the 10s? No? Too bad, I'm gonna do it anyways.

"And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday."

The best player of the 2000s debate is between Duncan, Shaq and LeBron, let's be real now.

And Kobe. He did win 5 titles in the 2000s. Shaq was more dominant in that first run (certainly 2000 and 2001), but those titles probably don't happen without both of them.

I think Tim Duncan will go down as the most overlooked Great player of all time. He's the NBA's best-ever power forward and I never ever think about him. It's not fair, really.

I'm not totally sure if this is true, but I read somewhere that LeBron's teams have only ever been favored in two of their Finals appearances. He has three rings. If true, he's actually beaten the odds to win as many rings as he has.

Confirmed:

It's more fair than you think as he's solidly in the top 5-10 all time, but those above him are clearly above him.

Reading through the last 10 pages of this thread... yikes, and I thought I was pissy about the Knights dominating the NHL like it was nothing... Apparently I'm not being pissy enough! :P

Ozzyman, if for some reason you decide to come back to this again, against all logic and rational thinking, I just have one piece of advice:

Don’t worry, I learned my lesson about daring to criticize the unfathomably dominant Lebron, who clearly struggled tooth & nail throughout his career through so much adversity.

Yeah, I mean he struggled so much against the best NBA players in The world, how can someone even say he hasn't been challenged when it's been 5 years since he last need a Game 7 in his own conference?

I apologize for being so ignorant.   :upside:

Let's start over & pretend it never happened K?

Yes, a warning was given by @LMU that one particular member was venturing into trolling territory, but the rest of you need to stop egging that member on. Everyone, drop the debate about Lebron's track record in the playoffs and let's keep this thread focused on the series going on at present.
