yea, i wish we could have been able to do that. before joining the team, i developed a number font called "Nagurski". it made its way into a concept or two after being re-named "Csonka" and i thought it looked pretty good, but ultimately, we just didn't want to change too much at one time.

I like it! I'd like to see a version where the corners are more rounded off so it's reminiscent of the current font while still featuring your improved forms.

I disagree wholeheartedly, but to each his own..

The current mark still looks very much like a dolphin, even if rendered in a slightly different style than previous iterations (which were drawn differently from each other as well), but this other mark is so minimalist and abstract that it can't even be compared to the others.. Plus, that funky orange bottom fin and empty white space just both look bad imo.. It doesn't even have a caudal fin.. I just plain don't like it..

I actually like the current logo, and although it's not perfect, I do consider it a successful evolution of the logo.. The dolphin stadium version, however, is better suited for a stadium than a franchise's uniforms..

Fair enough. I guess I really like those things you mention because they communicate the glistening water on the dolphin’s skin reflecting the colors of the sunrise. The gestural nature of the mark is another thing I really like about it, as it suggests the speed and dynamism of a dolphin jumping out of the water.

Apart from a few issues with the line work/illustration technique, my biggest issue with the current one is that the dolphin’s not in a jumping posture at all; it’s in a swimming movement (and yet, there’s somehow still a sun behind?)

Holy :censored:.  What a difference.

I haven't been this excited since I stumbled across my dad's secret stash of Playboy magazines when I was a sophomore in high school.

That new helmet stripe and orange color...

These Uniforms are easily the best thing NIke has ever done, or more likely has been forced to do. We can argue about the logo, the number font, the occasional yoga pants look, and script on the chest, but this is a vast improvement! GREAT JOB MIAMI!

It's eye-opening to see how much better these uniforms got by making relatively minor tweaks.

I never noticed how yellow the previous orange was

I didn’t either until they busted out that McDonalds cheese looking disaster they wore for Color Rush.

In a sense it isn't that minor...just very focused on fixing the fatal flaw. Thin light orange trim next to navy was not prominent enough and they didn't look like the Dolphins.  They looked like the new Jaguar uniforms!   Orange reemphasized, problem solved!! Wonderful fix for a historic franchise.

Here's a post from a few years ago where I found jumping dolphins in pretty much the same exact pose as the current logo.. So, while it may not improve the logo at all, it at least justifies its composition and validates it a bit..

I like this but it looks like you took the Oregon State numbers and just flipped a few corners around. The 0,2,3,4,5,7,8,9 look to be the same with just opposite corners cut off

If you're trying to make a point, please directly make it. I find passive aggressiveness tiresome

Question is do I buy a whole new Dolphins mini helmet to go w/ the Titans new one and Jags new one? I'm wondering if I take the orange stripe of their old mini helmet and cut it down the middle that would work, and also take the decals of the original Jags helmet and put the ones from the half&half helmet on it. Then I'd only need to get the Titans mini. Not sure I wanna swap out the Jags logos though since for thanksgiving and xmas weeks I set the matchups w/ the 80s and original Jags, Panthers helmets.

The point was that the previous helmet, in the slider image, was just a Photoshopped version of the new helmet.. That's how they got everything to line up perfectly.. There was nothing passive aggressive whatsoever about my comment.. It was just a joke because the image was of a Photoshopped version of the previous helmet.. Get off your high horse

You didn't say that though. You decided to be passive aggressive because of ??? Take your attitude somewhere else

I was neither passive nor aggressive.. I was simply making a small joke regarding the fact that the image consisted of two helmet designs, but one was just photoshopped on the other image.. It was a meaningless remark with no real purpose other than to create a minor chuckle or two.. There's literally nothing negative about the fact that some talented graphic design artist created their previous helmet design on a photo of their current design.. I have no idea what motive you think I had, or what message you think I was trying to convey, but you'd be incorrect.. There's absolutely nothing to even be passive-aggressive about, so take your accusations somewhere else

I have little to no patience for anything even resembling a remark that's talking down to me. I didn't appreciate the way you chose to make your point. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to clarify the point your were trying to make.

i was never making any point - from the beginning.. it was a meaningless little joke that i really only thought a couple people would read-into and think about enough to even get.. just a simple little one-liner that references a single photo which has been photoshopped to create 2 separate images to display 2 separate designs - and how the previous design is the photoshopped one, with the new design being the original image.. it was just a comment in jest about the previous design being photoshopped - the joke being that the design itself CAN'T be photoshopped, but in terms of the singular photo that was being referenced at the time, it WAS a photoshopped image of the previous design...

as i said, it was such a small, meaningless joke that i figured it would go mostly ignored, but there is absolutely nothing passive-aggressive about it..

and i have little to no patience for anything resembling a remark that's accusing me of something false that was illogically derived from something completely different and unrelated.. i didn't appreciate the way you chose to insist i had some point i was trying to make (which i didn't and still don't - it was just a dumb little one-liner joke).. and i also didn't appreciate the fact that after attacking my post, you then attacked my response and talked about needing to take my attitude elsewhere.. i do however, appreciate the fact that you now seem to understand what i was initially saying - although there was no real point to be made
