Underdog519 Posted June 13, 2018 Share Posted June 13, 2018 The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) is a professional men’s basketball league expected to begin play in spring of 2019. Six teams were announced May 2, 2018, that will be owned and operated by ownership group Canadian Basketball Ventures. The league was formed as essentially a rival to the National Baskeball League of Canada (NBLC). The centres announced as teams are Guelph, Hamilton, Niagara, Saskatoon, Edmonton & Fraser Valley (Abbotsford) 3 teams have announced their names and logos so far, one of them being a former NBLC franchise. Logos are ok for a lower division league but if this is meant to be a tier one league then they are dreadful. Logano wins BOWL before Chargers. The combo of team name + number + big logo rarely works in basketball, as Fraser Valley and Edmonton also prove here. If they really want their logos on the jerseys, I would've had a small one under the collar. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Only thing I don’t like is the massive logo on the belly. Other than that, I like it.
