It’s like every time you type anything that needs an emoji, it spaces it out and deletes it completely if you try to edit it. I’m not sure if you guys are using a new ad system or software or something, but the boards have become nearly unusable. It looks like it has to do the board's profanity filter using an emoji. Weirdly, it seems to affect the formatting of some posts and not others. I understand ads are necessary, and honestly, truly, they would not bother me at all if wasn't resulting in all this other nonsense for those who don't pay for it. The mobile site was already janky, but now ads cover buttons needed to use it (specifically the ones at the top that let you access things like notifications and DMs). It also cracks me that this is happening now when a while ago I saw a CCSL Twitter post mocking another website for having a page inundated with ads. I know you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the train rolling, man. I've been here 17 years (granted I became a lurker a long time ago), so you know I appreciate this place and want it to continue to do well. If you come across any ad give issues, please use the report an ad link and follow the instructions for review. FinsUp1214 Posted October 25, 2022 Share Posted October 25, 2022 The only time I see the “report an ad” link is for a brief second after the ad plays, then is covered up by the next ad that pops up. There isn’t enough time to click it (and I question whether a crash would allow me to click it at all). While an ad is playing, I can only see the “X” button to close it out on the top right, the sound button on the bottom right, and “advertisement” on the bottom left. dont care Posted October 26, 2022 Share Posted October 26, 2022 The crashing is atrocious today. It crashed on me 7 times while trying to make my picks for the weekly picks thread. In another thread it crashed on me a few times. To make this post it crashed on me 5 times. It’s absolutely rediculous and makes the site completely broken.
