Hopefully they don’t burn Buenos Aires down. Also is great to see a final being played over two legs.

If you're only getting familiar with Copa Libertadores now, then don't get used to it. They're switching to a neutral one-off format for the final beginning next season.

So we got this Superclasico two-legged Final in just in the nick of time.

(a horrific decision from CONMEBOL, btw, and the Champions League would be better as a home-and-away two-legged final, but, for some reason, I don't imagine UFA ever doing that.)

UEFA makes more money with a neutral field since they've gone to Super Bowl prices.

Two legged finals are dumb. Nothing more anticlimactic than a team winning by a huge margin in the first leg and then seeing two teams going through the motions in the second leg of what is supposed to be the most important game of the competition. And it creates an unfair advantage to the team in the second leg in the event of extra time and penalties. Neutral site single game is far superior and creates way more suspense

1st Leg blowouts usually don’t lead to boring 2nd legs, however. Just last year in the UCL we had Real-Juve, Barca-Roma & Liverpool-Roma all as first leg blowouts that produced thoroughly entertaining 2nd legs. Bayern-Real and Barca-PSG were that same way the previous year.

The amount of violence in football is staggering. I get you’re rivals and you don’t particularly like each other, but taking it this far is ridiculous. They’re still human beings after all.

Boca v River will be played the weekend of 8-9 December, outside of Argentina. Miami is off the table since the Dolphins host the Patriots that Sunday, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them look outside of CONMEBOL if they think they can sell more tickets.
