VDizzle12 1,505 Posted March 4, 2020 I really like the IS state logo, but not as a read-through. That alone, with a star in the bottom left. Done.

Lots of potential for a classic looking, unique brand (I get the state-outline is a “classic”, I’ve never been too enamored by it) I need to correct myself, those sycamore leaf logos were UNUSED concepts... that’s absolutely tragic. All of them are much better than the previous and new brand smh

From athletics staff to alumni, there was no desire to move away to a mark that represented the Sycamores in a different way (i.e. sycamore leaf, mascot mark, etc.)."

The primary logo they chose does not seem to lineup with the look and feel of the (decent) secondary marks they unveiled. There are some really nice options in that secondary set. Hell, I'd even take the new "IS" logo inside the state if the State didn't look like my 6 year old cut it out with safety scissors. *edit* those leaf logos were rejected? Oh sweet lawd Jesus that's a tragedy.

I like the IS state logo a lot, even as part of the script. My issue is that they have multiple state shape logos now and I think they should just use the S one. Slide that over to the S in STATE for the school script.
CaliforniaGlowin 2,066 Posted March 7, 2020 That S logo would be a great logo for a baseball hat.

colinturner95 2,882 Posted March 10, 2020 I'm not sure how to feel about this. Like I want to say it's an improvement, but I can't figure out if it actually is. I don't know if its the tiger or the font but it just doesn't quite feel right.
Mingjai 1,026 Posted March 10, 2020 The old logo--though not without its flaws--has character. The new logo is generic among current designs, though I do like the mountains incorporated into the shield. They really should have just focused on cleaning up the old tiger.
CaliforniaGlowin 2,066 Posted March 30, 2020 I missed this one. I love those colors. https://vixenathletics.com/news/2020/1/14/general-sweet-briar-launches-new-suite-of-athletics-marks.aspx
8993 75 Posted March 30, 2020 Apparently the Sun Belt Conference is rebranding, with the logo having leaked after someone captured a (grainy) shot of South Alabama's practice field with a new logo on it. This comes after the Sun Belt rebranded nearly seven years ago. Attached are a few shots of the logo versus the previous iterations. There has been no comment or confirmation of this as of yet, but reports are saying this is it. https://twitter.com/tkhighcountry/status/1244310565104898048 New (2020-): Old (2013-2020): Older (till 2013):
DNAsports 5,405 Posted March 30, 2020 Downgrade. Should’ve just removed the gradient and called it a day

The old logo's typography needed some tweaking, but it's still a good logo.

bwburke94 232 Posted March 30, 2020 At the very least, they should have spelled out "Sun Belt".
BrandMooreArt 3,766 Posted March 30, 2020 that mockup doesnt nail the details but its close enough. a much larger package coming along with all of this
_DietDrPepper_ 4,171 Posted March 30, 2020 The fonts in the mockup and the on field version don't quite match. I still like it though
chcarlson23 1,396 Posted March 30, 2020 As far as I can tell, SBC stands for Spaceball Cadet. And the logo seems to prove it...
CrimsonBull9584 320 Posted March 30, 2020 As someone who works for Georgia State football (now), I've yet to see this logo anywhere. But then again, we've been away for the last two weeks or so. Don't even know when we get to go back. But, personally, I like it. Much simpler.
Red Wolf 5,525 Posted March 30, 2020 As the self-appointed Sun Belt representative of these boards, I think I like this better than either of the previous incarnations. The current/soon-to-be-previous logo looks really bad when placed on jerseys. Just look at how terrible this thing looked.
