Avenger
I've got some cash burning a hole in my pocket, and with the World Cup coming up, I've decided to buy yet another hockey jersey.I've always loved the Slovakia jersey design, and I honestly think it's the best design in the World Cup. At the same time, I gotta give it up to the boys in red, white, and blue. I like the character of the old-school inspired jerseys, but I've already got one US national team jersey (Nagano-style).I am at your mercy! Avenger
Depends on which one u want the most. That's the thing... I'm not sure. I honestly don't like one more than the other, or it'd be an easy call.Design-wise, I like Slovakia. Country/team/players-wise, I like the US. habsfannova
I'd personally go with Slovakia, seeing how you already have a US jersey.
wurldwyde
Go with a winner, buy Canada! I actually prefer the Slovakia uni to the USA jersey, but I've never been big on mid-blue uniforms.
Shmee
That Slovak jersey looks like it's made of Nike's Razzle fabric or whatever they call it which is pretty cool. Either way, I'm very unimpressed by the US national jersey this year. I'd say to get the Slovakian jersey.
Gordie
Get the Slovakian one, you wishy-washy bastard. If you're getting it with name & number, go with Hossa, Gaborik, or if you're feeling mean, Chara.

the_cynic
This raising an interesting question for me. How many of you would choose to buy a hockey jersey if you had $300 extra lying around?

Gordie
This isn't a national team jersey, but I've always thought the Rochester Amerks flag jersey was cool, and it has a patriotic flavour.
Avenger
Yuck, Gordie.... that thing is butt fugly. I love the stars and stripes as much as anyone, but that thing looks like it could be the unholy lovechild if Discrim were to bone an American flag. Sterling84
ooooh. define EXTRA $300. Cause once you're married that term changes its meaning. Nothing is particularly extra.Afterall!! You could always double up on a car payment right? What would I do with a truly extra 3 spot though? Authentic jersey is right up there and always a good treat.......but I really want a Browning .35 full-auto tank gun replica for paintball. Mmmmmm.......paintball tank gun. You can get those for the low low price of $3750!!!AAAAAAAAAAANyway. Get the Slovakia one. It's pimp. Did Bondra play for them? He's not Czech.......I think he's Slovak. -kj
Does the Slovak jersey no longer have the multi-coloured piping? That's a shame. But, given the choice, just say no to the lame US throwback.

I only ask because I wanted to see where most of your priorities are. It's just my personal opinion but if someone has extra $$$ it's just a waste to go out and blow it on a jersey. -kj
...says the man pondering purchasing a motorcycle. Some people like hockey jerseys. Thusly, they buy them. I've got about twenty or so; granted, a good number of them are my jerseys from teams I've played on.Neither jersey should cost $300, even if you're buying pro-weight. Well, unless you're wanting to get a fully tricked-out customized jersey. But even then, that's usually only about $200.

Maybe you have to see them in action to appreciate them.Sterling, Bondra is a Slovak. So is Ziggy Palffy, and I think his jersey comes complete with a set of crutches. You have to understand, I've got very few expenses. I'm single with only rent, car, insurance, cell phone, cable, and food to pay for. Everything else is fairly expendable. No diapers or college funds to worry about. Just video games, jerseys, and booze.I should probably save more money than I do, but I'm not particularly ready to buy a house yet, so instead I invest in the important things like my jersey collection.
