Why are the city edition uniforms getting replaced

Recommended Posts

I know the obvious answer to this is merchandise sales, but why the "city edition" ones specifically?

Because there are different elements/cultures within each city which deserved to be given attention on an international level.

They're the NBA version of a third kit in soccer.

Uniforms-wise, the nba quickly went soccer. Skin tight jerseys (even tried sleeves), ads (how soon will the logo be the patch and the ad be the wordmark?), 3rd jerseys that are off the wall and not part of the logo or color package, no set color for home-road, and you can wear whatever color shoes you want.

This is the one thing that is actually good, in my opinion. I’d kill for college football to wake up to this.
