Good lord that's embarrassing looking. There have been a lot of games that made MLS look low-rent, but that has to be towards the top. I remember watching the Kansas City Wizards play at a minor league baseball park and that was less embarrassing.
DEAD!
What exactly were they waiting before to getting the netting down? A hurling match? https://www.mlb.com/mets/tickets/specials/hurling I saw, I came, I left.

This makes me a little torn because I’ve always liked Republic second behind Rising in the USL and the Quakes are my hometown MLS team. Can’t just sit on the fence! What should be done? I will miss Republic, they are one of few teams that I make an effort to see play every year here in the desert. A really classy club that separates itself from the rest of the west. Guess that is good reason to move up and forward though. Maybe I’ll replace that game withhhhhh......... let’s be honest, another dollar beer night. I’ll pour one out for the 7th place sized hole you’ll be leaving. Timbers

DG_ThenNowForever
All we need is Galaxy to win tomorrow and I'm all set. Big win for Seattle tonight. Cheers to Nick Rimando for a great game and great career. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
FiddySicks
Big win for Sac Republic tonight in the first round (play-in round?) of the USL playoffs. After conceding the first goal about three seconds into the game, they knotted it up right before the half and won it on this absolute banger of a goal. This weekend we head to, oh boy, RENO to take on our future flunkies in their dumb little baseball stadium. You bet bet your sweet ass I’ll be there. Do they have room for a regulation size field or are they using NYCFC's Bronx standards? The Yankee Stadium pitch meets MLS requirements, and is very comfortably within FIFA specs (MLS minimum is 70 x 110 yards, FIFA club minimum is 50 x 100). Was hard to tell if the Citi Field pitch was any larger; could have been, but I was also looking at it from an unfamiliar angle, directly behind goal instead of the corner. The biggest issue I've seen with the NYCFC games was how the turf laid over the dirt would just come right up when players slid across the field. The second is sight lines, but that's not a safety issue.

GDAWG
It's been a big week for Sac Republic. First a move to MLS and then a win in the USL playoffs. Good news for the sports fans of Sacramento since there's nothing else going on. Following the success of the River Cats too.
