Not sure if I want this guy in MLS:

If he can still play, I don't think he'll have as many issues as he does in Italy. The fact teams are telling their own players that the owner's just telling a joke, one which said he's "trying to lighten his skin", I'd want out as soon as possible.

He's only 29. Yeah, he's a few years removed from his peak years in 2013/14, but I'm sure he could thrive in MLS. It would be worth the trip to the US at the very least; our racism here is far less overt.

Seriously? I would have assumed he was way older. He's been around seemingly forever.

He would also be in a league that has owners who have dealt with black players before, most notably with the teams that are owned by the NFL guys and those owners know how to treat star players.

Balotelli made his Serie A debut twelve years ago, at the age of 17.

When I was 17 I was really into how awesome Chris Benoit was. I'm pretty sure that this has informed how poorly my life has gone.

Yeah, collude to keep the “difficult” ones out of the league. 😛

Fine with me. She’s an absolute trash bag of a human being. We’re better off without her. She backed out with us because we didn’t want to give up that much control to someone who was very likely going to be an absentee owner. Cincy fans are probably going to regret this in the long run.

That valuation is absolutely insane, BTW.

I agree, especially since there no new TV contract yet.

On a visual level, it would look pretty good. Way better than the Leido's logo on the chest ever has.

If anyone is going to destroy MLS from within, it's Meg Whitman. Be careful Cincinnati.

Before the misogyny train leaves the station and Mods fly in, both Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina were terrible tech CEO's but their stock options gave them wealth to do their post C-Suite activities.  Granted, Whitman rode eBay's public listing to fame/fortune only to pay $4.1B for Skype but did not buy the technology that made Skype work, but leased it from Skype’s original creators–who were under no obligation to continue the lease. Then couldn't lead HP.  They are along John Sculley and Mark Hurd in being bad "old school" tech leaders.

Ya'll upgraded from her to Ron Burkle.
