A professional sports team in Texas with a red, white, and blue color scheme with a chance to wear a red helmet??? Pfft, yeah like that could ever happen...

Another Pro Sports team wears navy helmets which have been shown to perform better in the World Series. 💁🏽‍♂️

I know that sleeve-flag gets a lot of love around here, but I think it's too busy, especially on a modern jersey.  Just use the pants stripe there and you can't top it.

I'm a big fan of compromising and using a sublimated flag. You still get the state representation with a cool design, and it isn't as busy or loud as just using the flag itself.

I don't see a white helmet for Houston being considered a minor tweak. And besides, think the last thing we need is another white helmet team that can wear all white (Buffalo, Miami, Indy, Chargers, Arizona).

Also, regarding the Bears wearing 4 jerseys this coming season...they already wore 4 last season: home, away, orange, throwback

I’m fine with red or blue socks both look great and the whole uniform compared to the crap Nike has come up with looks great.  id say just leave the Texans alone. Even the color rush is nice and now I’d say just use the different components to change it up game by game. Maybe even a color rush red jersey with blue numbers and red pants with both sets of stripes. Don’t change the helmet and only use a white one with an Oiler faux back if the nfl ever allows a second helmet. If they don’t then don’t worry with Oiler look just switch up the combos.

The Cardinals are dumb not to wear that throwback for five years.

This should be the Cardinals daytime home uni, with a classic cardinal red jersey for night games and road games when necessary. Optional cardinal red pants for road games in white. Done. Maybe a throwback alt with AZ flag sleeves.

I feel like the ONLY reason the texans would switch to a white helmet at this point is to create the ability to have an Oilers themed Color Rush set. IMO, it’s a really poor idea to change a major point of your branding just so you can use a look twice a season that harkens back to a team you’re not even associated with. Especially when the real version of that team still exists in another city wearing that shade of blue everyone likes and is your divisional rival.

Also, and this may not be very popular, that Oilers look was pretty good, but is MASSIVELY overrated IMO. If you gave me the choice between the Oilers old look and color scheme and the Texans current look and color scheme, I’d take the Texans look every time. The Texans have a damn near perfect look at this point IMO and it blows anything the old Oilers did out of the water.

I'd be happy if they just made their striping consistent. It's either...

A. Oops, forgot the white outline on the shoulder

B. Hey, the white outline was supposed to be for the NUMERALS, not the stripe

So irritating.

I don't mind these as fashion jerseys but on the field they look like pink from a distance and they're hard to read from a distance. These would be terrible with a white helmet.

I think their current set is near perfect. Some white socks would be a cool addition to wear once in a while.

Don't see the purpose of a team that plays in a retractable roof stadium having day and night time home uniforms.

I think it is their best look, it encourages variety without poor taste, and I remember when they usually did so, especially to put Cowboys in blue. That's all. Not necessarily sun and heat. Like same look with Dolphins.

Then its a good thing that they're not doing that.

For real, I think that what we're looking forward to here (if anything, since we don't even have a proper confirmation) is something like the Chargers did a few years back that most fans wouldn't really notice.

The Texans switching to white helmets wouldn't have squat to do with wearing "Oilers themed" uniforms anyway. It just looks better for them and their own branding.

I've never liked the Texans logo on the navy helmet.  Half of it gets lost.  White would look a lot better, even if it meant the uniforms might need to be tweaked some since the color balance would be thrown off.
