It got resurfaced but the floor was last replaced in ‘99, still, it’s an old floor that requires special tools to put together and I doubt the Celtics want any schmo putting their court together and taking it apart, without damaging it.
pepis21 2,092 Posted August 27, 2020 Isn't a Celtics floor is the last NBA floor mounted with using screws?

Digby 6,131 Posted August 27, 2020 Now I want to read the deep dive into old floors and new floors and general standards of NBA flooring. Didn’t Kyrie show up to Milwaukee a couple years ago convinced a fauxback court was actually one that hadn’t been updated in 40 years?

Man, I forgot about that. Kyrie Irving is a very unique person.

Literally a brand new court for the throwback game in the old arena and Kyrie was like "man, we're playing on a court from the 70s... are we really gonna have to do this?"

This is the second court post-retirement of the original. But, I get the sentiment behind it. And, I believe there are still a few pieces of the original around Red's signature?

I can envision him showing up and assuming it was like a movie, that this arena had been abandoned and untouched for 40 years, everything covered in a layer of dust and cobwebs. Of course right now he's being proven right about the Bubble concerns, but as a Celtics fan I'll still take the mostly harmless dunks on him.

As a Lakers fan, it makes me very happy to see but I don't know what the hell to think if they win the Finals wearing it. I think you’ll be fine. Considering you have about a thousand other championships you can look back at where the Lakers wore their regular uniforms, it’s really not that big of a deal. If anything, it’s good that it’ll stand out due to the Kobe link. That’s something I would desire as a fan of a team that just lost one of its icons. Now imagine being a Cavs fan, and knowing your only title came in those full sleeved clown suits. Some fans just aren’t as fortunate as you

pelicanfan 1,182 Posted August 31, 2020 New hornets jerseys have been unveiled. It's not bad. I do find purple almost being non existent a bit odd. I prefer a teal and purple combo with hints of white rather than teal and white with hints of purple. That's just me though.

Froob 1,325 Posted September 3, 2020 Rockets black jersey bugs the hell outta me, why is the color red and the arm holes charcoal? This was much better

Clearly the reason why the Jazz didn't get past the Nuggets. It has the NBA and their thirst for money written all over it.

This fact is all the more bothersome when half of them (Nuggets, Clippers, Celtics, Bucks)* shouldn’t be wearing black at all, in any form. *Normally I’d include the Lakers, but they get a pass just for this year in my book because of the special Kobe tribute. They shouldn’t wear black again after the conclusion of the playoffs, though.
Satomiblood 872 Posted September 7, 2020 Rockets-Lakers Game 2 is a surprisingly good uniform matchup. It works well on a neutral court and doesn’t look as busy as I initially thought.
