2K19 is half the file size of RDR2 (on PS4). They could make it happen if they wanted to.

it would be nice if those professional money drainers could make it where we could make our own warmups, court ads, and put logos wherever we want on the court. but sadly they cheap out every time. they have plenty of room and ability to

I think it has more to do with leaving Oakland than anything. But, if I were a betting man I’d say we see the San Francisco Warriors by 2024. You can’t tell me this ownership group wouldn’t pounce on it, especially since they had a SF alternate logo made in the 2010 switch.

The Warriors current owners bought the team in July 2010, after the rebrand had already taken place, so I don’t think that is indicative of anything. Unfortunately ‘Golden State Warriors’ became a globally recognizable brand with their dominance and I don’t think it’s going anywhere

Really dislike the kerning being so narrow on the City uniform. Their steadfast refusal to even try using

OKLAHOMA

#

CITY

instead of bunching everything up top is still annoying.

Switching Oklahoma City and Thunder on the blue and white is dumb, but at least the orange outlines are an upgrade.

PS: Gilgeous-Alexander on the back with Oklahoma City in front has to be some kind of record for most letters on an NBA uniform, right?

Wow, those are really sharp, can’t believe OKC will look this good. The grey jersey is really classy, and the tree really pops, also only one outline really works on that jersey (try that on the others maybe?). The orange jersey is not my favorite but it’s not terrible. As @anythinglogos said it would be better to have Oklahoma # city on the white, but you’ve got to cut your losses, this is still pretty great.

Excellent!

Love the city jersey and the story behind it. I think the look of the icon and association is an overall upgrade but I don't think they're quite where they should be yet. I would be interested to see a navy jersey using the same piping as the white jersey. I'd love the statement if it used navy instead of the Thunder blue similar to the city editions last year. I really think the city from last year would have benefited from the drop shadow being used here.

All 2K cares about is VC. The creation suite has stagnated and probably gotten worse. 2K19 lost a lot of classic templates and striping patterns, the names on the back remained small, many colors were still needlessly hard to match, and there was a new issue with created Statement jerseys not showing up. And still no ability to create City uniforms or warmups. Users also cannot place logos on the waistband unless the waist has no design, even though a lot of templates have space for them.

Watch, there will be a bunch of upgrades for 2K20 but you’ll have to use VC to create uniforms and courts.

Wondering why they switched to the Futura Condensed Bold font for the City unis instead of sticking with normal font.

Futura Condensed Bold is a cool font...just an odd change.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

OKC Thunder Unveil Four New Uniforms for 2020

July 23, 2019 - 14:49 PM

The Oklahoma City Thunder this morning unveiled four new uniforms for the upcoming 2019-20 NBA season. All of the team’s uniforms saw an update in one way or another, there’s a brand new “City” edition jersey, the primary Icon and […]

I still don't understand why they couldn't put the word CITY under the numbers. It just looks so crowded out the way they have it.

I'm not a fan of the third without context, but seeing as it's a tribute to the victims of the McVeigh bombings changes my stance a bit. That's kinda cool.

I don't know, fashioning a uniform design out of a memorial to a mass killing is a little weird in the way that the Lorraine Motel railing uniform was a little weird. Now a memorial is going to be dunking on people.

It's a nice design, but seems in poor taste to me.

A moment of silence would have been nice: dropping $125 on the OKC bombing alt seems kind of ghoulish.

First reaction from me is positive. The Thunder's uniforms have always been good (aside from that awful navy alt they used early on), and this seems to refine each one. Statement looks great, they still need to rebrand around it, Association and Icon both look good, but I feel like the "Oklahoma" part could be shrunk a bit. I honestly prefer both words to be above the number, but it looks good regardless. The City seems a little strange to me, since it's based around the OKC bombing and all that, but it looks good. How they use it will be important, since they have to handle this with care.

That's true, but I've always been sort of fascinated by that event, and I've always felt that the 1995 bombings sort of fell out of the spotlight too quickly. There have been a few times that someone has mentioned it and I've thought to myself, "Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that". That shouldn't be the case, as that was a pretty big moment not just for OKC, but I think for the whole country. Maybe monetizing it in a uniform isn't a great way to go about it, but I've always thought that some sort of a permanent tribute that can be showcased outside of OKC is important.

It sort of got lost in the shuffle of how crazy the 90s were, but that somewhat felt like a bit of a paradigm shift and it should be remembered. Maybe we should've learned more from that? 🤷‍♂️

I would hope ... HOPE ... the Thunder and Nike would donate the sales to the victims of the bombings. But, it smells of a MLB level holiday money grab to me. Though, the memorial jerseys do fit with the city because of the impact he had on the city, state and nation.
