j/k 90s Raptors are cool but don't hate on Pistons teal

 

I have a soft spot for the Raptors' 90s look but I'd never, in a million years (or even 65 million years ), suggest that they go back to it. I'm not even in favour of them going back to purple. Leave that in the 90s and for 90s throwback night.

 

As for the Pistons' teal? I'll hate on it because it was wildly inappropriate for the team it was representing. The Raptors' 90s look, as bad as it was, was at least somewhat excusable because it was for an expansion team with no history. The Pistons' teal look in the 90s was a slap in the face to the team's history. That they won the NBA Championship again so soon after abandoning it is poetic.

Why not just a primary set of R/W/B, then the teal as a throwback they use maybe two or three times a year (matching court would be nice)? Make it a somewhat special thing, and if you hate it so much at least it’s only a handful of games. 

 

There’s room for more throwbacks in an 82 game season, but I think they should be used for only really special occasions. 

 

I think one one of the biggest reasons people loved the Bucs throwbacks so much is because they only wore them twice a season at most. It was just the right amount. Instead of overdoing it, give people just a taste and leave them wanting more. It’s like actual creamsicles. One is plenty. If you’re being real crazy, MAYBE two. But the whole box will just leave you feeling sick and fat.

1. Would Rockets City will be somehow related to 50th anniversary of moon landing or it gonna be another Chinese homage?

2. Nuggets City stays or they recolorize it?

3. Gold-Black and White-Red North unis for Raptors City and Earned?

4. Which Lakers player will be honored this time?

and still, one cannot overstate how this was THE jersey to own if you were in middle school in the mid-to-late-'90s. yes, even in new york with the knicks being halfway decent.

2) Please tell me the TWolves are doing some cool for their city jersey. Tough to beat last year though.

4) Knicks finally putting Knicks on a uniform? 

5) Suns getting something new or keeping "Los Suns?"

1. It's a new design, not just the old blue uni being assigned as the Statement

2. Personally, I prefer last season's, so don't get too excited

Great news about the Magic. I'm from Boston so the Celtics are my #1, but the Magic are my second favorite b/c my wife and I are big Disney World people haha.

I was in middle school in the late 90s and I personally saw more Bulls, Raptors, and Hornets gear in my neck of the woods. And I grew up within a day's drive of Detroit
