He’s a billionaire who hangs out with rappers in his spare time, ya’ll surprised by this?

Yes, because billionaires tend not to frequent storefront massage parlors in the suburbs.

The food company Kraft Heinz owns Oscar Mayer. But I'm pretty sure Robert Kraft has nothing to do with them.

That's correct, Bob Kraft's fortune comes from the paper industries. But their stock price is down 30% today which is an amazing coincidence.

This comment really sucks.

Billionaires are destroying our economies, our environments, and the very nature of the social contract. On the whole, they're way more likely to be caught up in sexual exploitation of marginalized groups simply because they want to be.

I don't like the implication that being involved with hip-hop means you're more likely to seek prostitutes. I don't see the connection; old white dudes do just fine paying for trim all by themselves.

Robert Kraft married into a box factory fortune.

At first I thought, "Old guy whose wife has died... not the worst thing in the world", but to do it like this? He can literally fly to a place where it's legal any time he gets horny.

Apparently Robert kraft isn’t even the biggest name in this prostitution sting, makes you wonder who it could be? I’m betting right now it’s someone related to trump.

It's probably true. They're supposedly looking to charge more than 100 people in relation to this.

John W. Childs with a net worth of $1.2 billion has been brought up on similar charges as Kraft in relation to this case.

I don't know what to think anymore. The whole story is just creepy and gross.

So these replies are not taking the "sex trafficking" aspect under consideration.  Supporting that is wrong, and pretty much ends the discussion, so let's set that aside for the purposes of my post.

Why would this be anything more than a "lol, dude got caught!" story that just goes away after a couple of days?  The point has been made a million times, but the dude has money, he's 77-years-old so picking up chicks at the corner dance hall just isn't happening, so he pays for a presumably-attractive asian girl for some TLC.  Big whoop.

it's absurd that sex work is illegal in the US. If the man wants to pay for a handy, he should be able to do so. Not saying he should be soliciting places that expressly don't do that, but there's nothing wrong with the idea of sex work in and of itself.

I'm going to contradict my above sentiment here.  I do think it should be illegal, because I don't think that young women should think of that as a potential career if becoming a heart surgeon doesn't work out.  I don't think that girls should be paying for college by giving BJs at the corner sex mart.  It just objectifies women even more than they already are, and I'd hate to have to explain to my non-existent daughter what goes on at that one store in the mall with the scantily-clad models in the window.

HOWEVER - the obvious counter to that is "it's going to happen anyway, so why not at least regulate it and make it safe".  Well yeah, sure, but the illegal sex work would likely still continue even if it was legalized.  The women selling p-- for heroin is still going to happen.  The less-attractive women are still going to be performing acts in people's cars because they aren't going to be hired.  It goes on.

This was a nasty Asian massage parlor in a strip mall. The girls who worked there were hardly even showering.

Yeah, you're not wrong, but maybe that was part of the thrill?  Maybe he got off on the "fantasy" of getting an illegal happy-ending-massage knowing that he could be caught?

LOL at blowing Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel.  Remember - some folk'll never lose a toe, but then again some folk'll.

I suspect it's more about the power imbalance between him and the sex worker: he's probably way more into what would happen if she got caught than if he did.

I never would have taken you for a SWERF, though.

Fun fact: I just learned what TERF and SWERF meant yesterday! Tinder teaches you some things.

BBTV, you've been to Amsterdam, haven't you? The red light district, while not for everyone, is safe, clean, and clearly popular. We should have more like that. And, of course, you presumably consume porn. Cam models are sex workers too, and I think it's great. People like sex. It needn't be disgusting just because it's fueled by money instead of love or drugs or alcohol or whatever else.

Because we're learning she most likely was trafficked, which is really bad. And even if not, he can find someone to find someone for him that isn't at a strip mall massage parlor. He's choosing to get an HJ in what's the second-worst possible way (the worst would be a child). There are a lot of bad choices that put him at that strip mall that day.

And if this becomes an actual Pizzagate-esque story with actual politically-connected clients? OMG.

I am not a SWERF but I think it is worth mentioning that a lot of modern sex-work positivity relates to more innocuous stuff like camming or sending feet pictures on Snapchat or otherwise physically operating at a remove from their clients. I suppose it's as good a way as any to get through college. But I don't think doing it the old-fashioned way gets people talking about empowerment and liberation quite as reliably: there's still too much that can go wrong, and I suspect those in that sector are not paying their way through college. I guess you can call it progress in some sense. Kate Bush sorta wrote a song about this.
