FWIW, we're still waiting on Cal, Colorado State, Navy, Temple and Texas Tech.

 

As I noted, Cal will not (98% sure) be getting anything as we already have a throwback alternate as well as a yellow alternate. I wouldn't mind an away version of the Joe Roth set but that will probably not be coming. 

 

Navy also will probably see a set closer to the Army-Navy game.

Dont call them year specific throwbacks if they if they are inaccurate.  Maybe just retro inspired or throwback style. UA has been lazy for awhile now. I hope they get called out more often. 

 

The number size size on the BC Jersey is the definition of what’s wrong with sports jerseys today. 

 

The 150 patch is so out of place. This will be that one year we’ll remember in 20-25 years as being a symmetrical mess. What happens when bowl games happen or someone dies? I hate more than 2-3 patches on jerseys or sleeves. We don’t need a conference and uniform manufacturer patch on every single jersey.

Boston College’s “School Heritage” uniform is absolutely no different than the Flutie-era throwbacks they wore last year, aside from the updated template. Even if it’s not new, don’t be surprised if the Roth set is “repurposed” in the same way.

Are we sure this isn't just a practice jersey for the defensive starters? They already earn actual black shirts with the Skull & Bones logo. 

 

Edit - the #19 is consistent with past reveals (for 2019), plus the guy is standing in a rail yard, which seems like a publicity shoot.

No 150 patch seems strange, but I’m sure it could easily be added on the actual product once it hits the field. 

 

It seems weird to have a logo for the defense represent the whole team, though if only the Blackshirts got to wear that logo that would be awesome, but I’m pretty sure that’s against the rules. 

 

Also the logo is wearing a helmet that doesn’t match the helmet but other than that it’s fine for one game.

Remember though, that the rumor is Nebraska will be getting a true "third" instead of a one-time alt. I have no idea how true that is, but it's the rumor that's been swirling.

They don't but the Sterling Sharpe picture is from the 1987 Gator Bowl, those patches were sewn on the pants and on both shoulders:

Agreed with previous comments that the garnet helmet and black top should become South Carolina’s primary look. It’s beautiful. Also, the front of their jerseys should always read “Gamecocks” it’s a unique and awesome mascot and no one outside the state thinks of them when someone says “Carolina”

 

Under Armour is so close to putting out consistently great looks... It’s the little things.

I hope that means we stop rotating alts every year and keep this one for multiple years instead of us wearing this 2/3 times a year, but seeing how NU treated the all white road unis a few years ago I'm pretty worried it's the latter.

I'm in the camp that thinks a black third for Nebraska would be cool to see. I wouldn't want it to be worn every other home game, but maybe 1-2 games per year could be fun. 

 

Of course the real answer here is to just play 52 weeks of football and then we can stop worrying about alts diluting teams' brands too much.

Damn, that's actually pretty close to what I had in mind for a black Nebraska alternate. I like it. The blackshirt logo on the sleeve is a nice touch.

Its become abundantly clear to me that 98% of people don't understand what "clean" means. Nothing with full body camouflage would ever qualify as "clean". As a Wolfpack fan, I truly think they've ruined what was a perfect look in 2017. If they lost the camo on these I wouldn't hate them, but I'll also never care for oversized helmet logos.

I most certainly see the red on there, but the placement makes me think that might actually be red TV numbers as opposed to a stripe.
