So the Lakers lose to the AD-less Pelicans on the road and give up 100 points before the 4th quarter even started. There's a strong possibility that LeBron is going to not make the playoffs for the first time since 2005. YouTube had just been launched that same spring. That's crazy.

It really makes you wonder where the Lakers would currently be without him. Probably leading the tank party for Zion.

The Magic are now 6 for their last 7 with away wins in Milwaukee and Toronto. That one loss? At home to the Bulls. I would complain about that, but this run is way more than I expected out of this team in December. It's certainly fun to be somewhat good again, even if we end up missing the playoffs.

Bad calls all around (it's the Knicks at home, what do you expect?), but you can't blame anyone but the Magic for this one. Ugly, ugly loss tonight in New York. We decided to turtle the last 5 minutes, and the Knicks stepped on us for it. I'm still optimistic about our chances, but if we can't beat tanking teams then we have no chance.

Watch, we're about to beat the Warriors, because that's just how the Magic are this year. They easily handle the teams they have no business being on the same court with, and then lose to Chicago, Phoenix or New York.

I guess it's not surprising that the sort of parents who can afford to give their kid a courtside seat are also the sort of parents that can't get him to act right. Hope they got kicked out.

Meanwhile in Boston, I can confirm that everyone hates the Celtics. Finally got my wish of this being a basketball town! WEEI warts and all!

Well, I NEVER like seeing the Warriors lose, but I’ll take it. If you’re gonna lose a game to a team less talented than you, that’s certainly the way to do it. What a great finish. Happy for D Wade.
