While we're on the subject of road grays being better than the home uniforms, I've long thought that this was the best jersey the Brewers have ever worn. The uncanny valley scripts were/are terrible, especially when the originals had so much potential. vs. Also, that '94-'10 "Cleveland" script was a special kind of awful. Aside from the double outline, what the heck is up with the flat edge on the lower "C," the iffy "v," and the overall bulbousness of the design? The block wordmark is far superior, if only because it doesn't have the "machined" look. Heck, just because a script is "machined" doesn't mean it can't look good (shameless self-plug). I'm not as keen on the "v" in "Cleveland" anymore, but I think it's a solid demonstration of balancing the "rough" and "uncanny" styles. I never liked the brown they use on the Friday jerseys...to light and had a greenish tint. This looks darker and more red which I think will hold up over time better.
