The Padres actually have some decent players now. They need a recognizable brand for this portion of their history, especially if they start playing well. The home hat, which we all saw, and either a road or military Sunday hat ( conflicting reports from the retail folks) that’s brown with a sand color sand outline, similar to the SD design of the olive colored caps. Sand is already a unique enough away look that pinstripes are a bit overkill. Don’t like how there’s a white outline on the brown jersey, yellow on brown is perfectly legible as demonstrated on the hat, what do you need white for? FiddySicks Posted November 10, 2019 Share Posted November 10, 2019 I wasn’t crazy about the pinstripes but having them for both the home and road sets is a move I actually REALLY like. These are terrific. The Padres absolutely nailed it. I give this organization basically endless for their continued ineptitude. But in this case, I have to give credit where credit is due.
