I understood that they wanted to wear the new gear right away. Probably a sales tool.

...and inevitably, we know that navy jersey will be worn at least 50% of the time this season.

More than half the teams do.  16 of the 22 we've seen so far, but not all have been released.

The White Sox have two jackets with contrasting sleeves.

Tigers have two as well...one for home and one for the road

Anyone know what snapback the Angels were wearing today? I saw a small clip of Bundy pitching and they were wearing a black ne snap with what looked like red lettering.

I don't know if it was today and I didn't see the cap but I know the Angels were gonna wear caps to honor that baseball coach who passed away in the Kobe Bryant accident, his name is slipping my mind at the moment. Maybe this is the cap you saw?

Yes it was the hat of the college the coach coached at.

I started college at OCC and still have a few hats and shirts with that OCC logo on it. They also have this weird wave inside of an O logo and the football team uses a modified Buccaneers flag logo.

I can not get a good photo showing the effect but after watching the Mets spring training they seem to be using orange foil stickers for their batting helmets (logo and numbers).

The photos I've found don't really show the effect. Has anyone heard anything about this or am I just losing my mind?

Definitely using “metallic chrome” decals. Creamer had a a tweet about it last week.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Good catch, thanks.

And interesting, they're really leaning into the "two separate color schemes" thing.

That’s not new - the Tigers have had navy/white at home and navy/orange on the road for many years.

Do we have an answer yet on if the Brewers will wear the Navy tops at home this season? When they were unveiled it was only listed as a road alternate.

From what I'm hearing, there is no plan to wear them at home.  But that could change if the jerseys sell well (or if they don't).
