I dont know if anyone noticed but Mitchell and Ness is now making TATC jerseys. I dont know why but it wont let me post the picture but I believe they got the color wrong on the Tony Gwynn Padres jersey.

Yeah they did. Surprisingly they don’t have some of the more memorable jerseys (Rockies, pirates, Mets) but have White Sox, Diamondbacks, Padres, Mariners, and Braves.

Excellent!

Rockies instagram says they're selling them at team store.

The article more alludes to a change in the physical uniform and construction rather than a change in the design for the Sox.

it even days at the end of the article about something like removing the belt.

Did players see any advantages to pullovers vs button-ups?  I'm curious why some teams would adopt them - especially since there wasn't a Reebok or Nike selling teams on how buttons and belts are very heavy, and going with pullovers would reduce the weight by 0.945% and guarantee a World Series title.

I can understand sans-a-belts, even though they're ugly.  Shoulda just gone with the center stripe that would mimimc the belt (but without going as far as to have fake tunnels), or no trim at all (though it might look like a onezie).

MLB Holiday Caps 2020: Will They Be Worn? Available to Buy?

May 5, 2020 - 15:30 PM

With baseball on the shelf and Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I’ve been getting numerous e-mails, Tweets, and Facebook messages asking if we’ll still get a chance to see or buy Major League Baseball’s 2020 holiday caps. I felt it pretty […]

Very interesting. I’ve got a massive collection of all but one of the styles the Rays have worn during their existence, good to know 2020 might represent an “off” year.

I didn't see this before, but the Astros have a logo and possible uniform patch to celebrate 20 years at Minute Maid Park.

Also means 20 years since these plus the pinstripe home jersey.

Very true. The Astros wore a black a lot more often in the 2000 season as it was the height of the MLB BFBS movement. The first game in the stadium was a spring training game against the Yankees so the team wore their spring training/batting practice uniform which lasted all of one season.

Astros stars Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell soak in the playoff-like atmosphere of the inaugural game at Enron Field in 2000.

I do as well, as I do the navy and gold from the 90s.

Those two looks were the best the Astros have ever looked, by a mile. I know some people don’t really like the star with the broken side, but I absolutely love it. It conveys so much through so little.

Everything they used before and and everything they’ve used after has been nothing but hokey garbage.

The railroad identity was dumb.  Shoulda changed the name, then maybe it could have worked but even if we forget the name and just look at the uniforms, the non-italicized broken star looks terrible to me.

The navy/gold set was very very good.  The italicized star on that set worked much better than what came later, and the uniforms went well with the nickname.  My qualms with it have to do with the complete lack of trim.  I wouldn't advocate for any kind of "traditional" trim since it's not really a traditional design, but maybe carrying over some kind of sleeve stripe would have added a little flair.  Also it's good they dropped the original road version and went with the style with the larger Houston wordmark.
