BBTV
I forget how many teams have NNOB at home, but for example, SF wears their number too low. I'd wager that NYY and BOS are the only teams that ever get it right. BC985
Being in Cincinnati, the Cardinals are wearing their navy road caps. As they always should. This is the uniform hill I have chosen to die on.

FiddySicks
Gotta disagree with you there. The all navy cap is the way to go for the Cards. I wouldn’t even mind if they reversed the logo colors, so it matched the home cap. Not sure how that would look, though. It would distinguish it a bit from the Red Sox, though. Disagree on that point. The charm of the navy cap, to me, is the logo. Honestly, I like it better than the regular logo on the red hat. SFGiants58
If the the navy cap doesn’t have a red brim, it just doesn’t work for me. I loathe the all-navy look. Either it’s navy cap w/red brim or all-red cap. Seriously, the all-red on the road uniform looks beautiful. Why deny us a look this good with the all-navy cap? Navy w/ red brim and all-red aren’t as drab and lifeless as the all-navy cap. The all-navy cap Cardinals is one of my least-favorite looks in MLB and I was glad when they reduced its presence, MLB: Project 32 (Complete), MLB: The Defunct Saga (Complete)

SilverBullet1929
After years upon years of this debate I've come to the conclusion that there is no right or wrong answer for the question of which cap the Cardinals should wear on the road because every option has enough historical precedent to make a strong case to be "right." Therefore each option looks great and so from there it just becomes a matter of personal preference. I do think that the present day model of navy vs red teams and red vs everyone else is a pretty fair consolation for now even though a mixed bag isn't ideal. Simply put it's nice that I get to see both looks every so often. And yes the navy with red bill option is also a valid one as well.
chcarlson23
I think the Cardinals don't need any navy cap or jersey for that matter... Cardinals are red, and are named so for the red of the Catholic Cardinals. So why does there even need to be a navy set? I love the all red at home, and all red on the road look for the Cardinals. It makes perfect sense, and looks much better than when they wear navy. Like from a aesthetic standpoint, and not just the fact that real cardinals are red, the red caps and undershirts look much better than their navy counterparts. The Cardinals were named after the red stockings they started wearing when they became the Perfectos. They were originally the Brown Stockings. Then shortened to Browns (not the AL Browns who became the Orioles and were originally the Milwaukee Brewers). Then Perfectos. Then to Cardinals after a fan noted their socks were a "lovely shade of Cardinal". Has nothing to do with the Catholic Cardinals. And they've had navy for much of their existence. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

Well yes, the St. Louis Cardinals technically have nothing to do with the Catholic Cardinals, except that the bird was named after the Catholic church officials, the Cardinals. Despite them having navy and red as their color scheme for much of their existence, I think they should still be predominately red, with only the accents being navy. Not even the hats... It was a video of Alvarez getting hit in the junk with a 105mph comebacker. What was really jarring was the Phillies in road grays against the Jays in the damn powders. It looked terrible. Something has to be done about that . I knew the Jays would find a way to with one of the best look in baseball. It seems like they're wearing these every single time I catch them on tv. These hats are awful, the whole powder uniform is way too bright and the Jays should be wearing royal, not navy. Leave that combo to the Rays. The fact that these are also worn way too much at home makes things even worse.
