there's 162 games, if anything baseball should be the one sport with that many uniforms, not the NBA.

The updated look is much better than the previous set. Not a fan of the black alt or any of the teal, but I'd say the first Nike unveiling is an upgrade (not like the D-Backs had anywhere to go but up). Of course, the chest swoosh doesn't look good, but it's not terrible.

If the DBacks can tweak theirs, hopefully the Marlins will fix theirs also.

Yeah, that 2007-2015 set has always been a bit of a head scratcher to me. It’s strange. I thought the original move to Sedona red, sand, and black was the right move, and that original set was head and shoulders above the crap they’re wearing now, but I don’t miss that look at all. It was kind of a perfect look for them because it reminded me exactly of Arizona. The problem is, Arizona is flat, boring, hot, and depressing. 

 

You tend to crap on Arizona any chance you get on these boards, Arizona must've hurt you bad sometime in the past.

That only makes sense if the throwbacks aren’t selling as well as many of us thought/expected/outright hoped they would. The Brewers didn’t need to “create a market” for their throwbacks.

I also remember reading somewhere that the Nike jerseys for 2020 are pretty much the Majestic Flex-Base with the swoosh added.  Is there any truth to that?

 

Yes I believe the uniforms are exactly the same as the Majestic Flex Base. Same material, cut, and style.

No, on the contrary. Arizona was a GREAT time in my life. There are several things about Arizona that I genuinely love (Spring Training, bars in Scottsdale, Flagstaff, Chompies). I'm also about as big of a Sun Devil fan as you'll find. But I also don't have a problem calling a spade a spade.

I love teal just as much as the next guy, but the teal the dbacks use is way too garish, it’s basically neon. If they went back to their teal from the 90’s it would look fantastic paired with the red and black

I would have been okay with them sticking with the dark road uniforms but this is a cleaner look.

For all the hype around their teal and all the use it got the last several seasons I'm assuming the organization wants less of it. I mean how else can you explain them taking their most popular color and using less of it in this "refresh?" You'd think they would have added more of it but today's reveal tells me that they want to scale it back.

The World Series home uniform was the best they've every looked. The road uniform was garbage of course, but that shouldn't stop them from going back to the home uniform that era and building a new road identity to go with it.
