If the DBacks can tweak theirs, hopefully the Marlins will fix theirs also.

We can only hope! The Marlins will probably have the worst uniforms in MLB now that the Diamondbacks, Padres, and Brewers are all upgrading their sets.

For all the hype around their teal and all the use it got the last several seasons I'm assuming the organization wants less of it. I mean how else can you explain them taking their most popular color and using less of it in this "refresh?" You'd think they would have added more of it but today's reveal tells me that they want to scale it back.

Do we know that to be the case?

Evidence suggests otherwise; the Diamondbacks see the sales figures, they know what people are buying. If the teal was really that popular, if it really moved merchandise, they would know.

Are they showing off all the caps ?

Can we assume some changes there too?

Turquoise outlined A is now in the form of the snake logo with turquoise outline.

No more snakeskin gradient on field. They're back to the all black with red A?

So three hats total. Two snake logos and one A. Is the D officially out?

I always found the dark grey turquoise set really hard to see the numbers and nob

Great moves. Yet they do feel lateral. It feels like Sedona and turquoise could work together, not as different sets.  So there is a bit of overlap here.

This is like 2007 and 2016 had a baby, but genetically mutated to take away all that snakeskin crap. Definitely a more profrssional look here.

I was totally going by the general opinion of how cool the teal trimmed alternates looked. I've always read, here and elsewhere, how people would be like "the Dbacks unis suck but the teal alts are cool, they should use those more." Definitely dont have any proof.

Anyways, reading up last night I found a quote from one of their executives saying that the teal is being scaled back because it's not one of their primary colors of sedona, black, and sand so they would rather it not be as prominent.

Once the Marlins inevitably decide to introduce yet another redesign in the next couple years, here’s what I’m betting they’ll do, based on what the Padres and Brewers appear to be doing: Go back to teal and black with pinstripes at home, but keep their current orangey red as an accent color, as well as keep the current scripts and numbers (maybe tweaked slightly). Maybe they’ll introduce a teal colored alt, as well.

The D Backs no longer utilizing that awesome D snake logo they have in any form is a pretty big disappointment. I get the complaint about using the first letter of the nickname on the hat rather than the first letter of the city, but that’s the one hat I could always make an exception for. I’ve always loved their D snake logo.

Thats one thong that that I think they screwed up about their current color scheme. The red cap should’ve had the A logo, and the black hat should’ve had the D snake logo in red. I always thought that reversal was a bad idea.

Be careful extrapolating anything from this community; we’re an exceptionally small minority.  Even something accepted by 100% of the posters here doesn’t mean any significant percentage of the rest of sports fans would agree.

That does makes sense.

No. They're not changing anytime soon. They're committed to this rebrand.

Yeah, I didn’t mean it would happen any time soon. But it will happen eventually. This latest rebrand hasn’t exactly enjoyed a glowing reception.

It wont happen in the next few years outside of some tweaks either. This ownership isn't as fickle as the previous ones and they think they got this one right. Despite the criticisms this ownership isn't going backwards. They believe the old Marlins look is a thing of the past and they will stick with what they have now.

I would never have thought that MLB, out of all the leagues, would allow for an ad right on the front of the jersey, but here we are.  Disgusting.  Without that, this is a major upgrade, though they only need one cap.  Not sure why they need a full second home uniform (the turquoise-trimmed one) but at least it looks OK.
