No, that’s not the one I’m thinking of. This particular patch was worn (I believe) only on the caps. It featured a baseball splashing into McCovey cove. I’ve found pins that are similar, but unless my memory is shot (definitely a possibility 😂) it was a little different from that. I used to have one of those caps but I outgrew it years ago.

I know the one you're talking about it was primarily the ball in a diamond shape with a banner across the top and bottom of the diamond.  I have a beer cup from that season with the basic idea of the patch but without the banners.  Finding the cap online for a photo of the patch is also proving elusive and while I bought the jersey patch that year, I didn't buy the cap.  EDIT: and here it is!

They didn't tweak it. The logo has just gotten bloated in its older age.

that’s literally almost verbatim what the Phillies said about their script, and why MLB told them to clean it up last season.

That's the one! Thank you.

I don't know how known this is, because I don't think they actually sold it, and this sites article about the 2019 ST hats didn't include it at all, but there was actually another version of the cap they used during road games. I wonder why they didn't bring this one back?

Wow that's a great cap! The W should be slightly larger (or enlarge the entire logo a bit) but I love it

I’m a fan of interlocking letters so I’d go with DC as their primary.  The dome-W (DomeDub?) is too vertical for my liking - maybe that’s why they put the stars there. I’d prefer just a block W

The Minnesota Twins will be celebrating 60 seasons in 2020.  They had a 40th season patch in 2000 and a 50 seasons patch in 2010 so it's possible they will have a 60 seasons patch in 2020.

It wouldn't surprise me either if they decide to drop their red "TC" home alternate and introduce a throwback alternate since they got rid of the 60's cream colored throwbacks after the 2018 season.

I think the DomeDub would make a better sleeve patch (navy dome/stars with a red W outlined in navy). Would give them something other than just slapping the primary roundel on the sleeve.

Now that they've won the World Series wearing the Wonky W (And with the history that logo has), it's not going anywhere, unfortunately.

I'm agnostic about the stars, but the Dome/W logo should definitely be their new primary cap logo.

I love that logo, too, and think it looks great on a cap.

But isn't this kinda the same argument we had regarding the Brewers? The mark might be imperfect (Nationals) or not directly representative of the team's name (Brewers), but it's become the brand most associated with baseball in that city.

I'm a big fan of breaking unwritten rules, so this isn't a hill I'd die upon. But that weird Curly W is what I think of when it comes to Washington baseball, good or bad.

Probably an unpopular opinion: Bring back the "M" cap. Eleven-year-old me misses it.

EDIT: Admittedly, this is a selfish request. I lost my fitted authentic "M" cap -- one of the ones with raised stitching -- over the summer, at a hotel in K.C., where I was watching the Twins on the road. I didn't fret much, figuring I'd just find another one online. Still looking ....

Yeah, except the Brewers didn’t steal their logo from a nationwide pharmacy chain. 😁

They’re also not resurrecting the identity of the money pit that moved away, leaving the city without a team for over 30 years.

I still would prefer the Washington Grays, Pittsburgh can have the Crawfords.

I bought that M cap at the New Era store in Los Angeles a few years ago right after it was phased out because I figured it would be hard to find.

Check eBay. That’s usually a good spot.

Yeah, been hunting for a while, including eBay, and no luck. Also thought Mickey's would have it, since they have most of the semi-obscure and hard-to-find hats (Like, for example, pretty much every era of the Milwaukee Brewers), and they suggested I just contact New Era directly.

Make it a Senators throwback similar to how Texas did that several years ago, and mark it sold.
