This looks so much better than what they use now.  I don't even mind the piping and fang-panels.

It was one of the few jerseys that the piping seemed to have an actual point to it.

I do think that the yellow helmets were and still are a good look. The navy seems to be dull it down just a little too much. The breezers should be plain navy, while the helmets should be gold. I feel like that’s a good balance between the two sets...

Yeah, that is the one time ever a team downgraded by switching from a Reebok Edge template to a traditional design.

That Reebok Edge gave the uniform a perfect amount of navy.

I disagree, it was just a yellow version on st Louis. And the piping that ran through the hem stripes was weird and unnecessary

Unpopular opinion probably...the coolest jerseys Nashville ever wore were their first jerseys...navy, yellow and silver was a cool look. The logos (main and shoulder) are now much better, of course, but the overall design is one of my favorites.  Buffalo needs to go back to royal and yellow gold so Nashville can bring something like this back.

Perhaps @andrewharrington can answer this...  I've noticed the Orca with the arched "Vancouver" is still listed as the Canucks primary logo on the mother-ship.  Are they still using this version for branding purposes in spite of the recent tweak to the jerseys?  Chris has added the updated Stick and Rink but still we see the word-mark.  Any insight would be very much appreciated.

I’d assume they would switch the logo, but I honestly don’t know what their plans are. I’m not sure it matters, though. There are several teams across sports who have had a primary logo they didn’t prefer to use. For a hockey team, whatever is on the front of the jersey usually becomes the de facto primary (unless you’re the Rangers).

I still don't have a website, but I have a dribbble now! http://dribbble.com/andyharry

Morgo, from what I have seen from the new branding directly from the team, the arched "Vancouver" is gone.

There is a display in my gym (Steve Nash Fitness World)  related to a Canucks' ticket prize and it is just the orca without the wordmark.

Notice the backdrop at the Tyler Myers signing.  No arched "Vancouver" over the orca.  There used to be last year.

As well, while on a fly by on SkyTrain, I noticed the banners outside Rogers Arena have been updated to show players in the new uniform.  I am pretty certain that the new large logo on the arena now does not have the arched "Vancouver" over it.

Officially the wordmark is gone, the jerseys and everything else. Of course you'll still see uses of the old logo for the next season or 2 because people arent as OCD as most of us on here and wont see the difference...because its still using the same logo so, yeah. Not a big deal tho. I never really disliked the wordnark above the logo, i just hated it on the jerseys.

I'm Danny fkn Heatley, I play for myself. That's what fkn all stars do.

After looking at it closer, I guess they already did that several years ago! Huh. I totally thought those were still just used as an alt.

IIRC, they were just a Friday or Saturday home games thing, some sort of promo. After one season, the fanbase liked it so much they moved to it as a full-time measure.

Why? Makes sense to sell four product options rather than three.

Yes, obviously, but the timing is more my question. I know a fair number of fans who will be doing one or the other. Since the alt comes out first, that's more likely to be what sells more. Unless the WC jersey is just amazing, I don't imagine too many people will be going to buy it after the fact. I think you'd sell more jerseys overall if they were spaced out a little more.

Thunder Bay Lynx - International Hockey Association (2 seasons, 2017-18, 2019-20, 2018 Xtreme Cup Champions)Houston Armadillos - Major League Hockey (2 seasons, 2016-18) | Minnesota Muskies - North American Basketball Association (1 season, 2017-2018) | Louisville Thoroughbreds - United League of Baseball (1 season, 2017, 2017 United Cup Champions) | Las Vegas Thunderbirds - International Basketball League (1 season, 2016-17, 2017 Champions)

Yeah, it was a Saturday alt. Love that move. I can see why some wouldn't really like it that much, as it's pretty garish. That being said, it works really well for them and anything to add a bit of diversity and uniqueness to a league filled with blues, and reds, and blacks, I'll take.

I'd like to see other teams do this. The Oilers or Ducks (Paired with that sweet orange Fauxback with the Disney logo) in an orange helmet or the Sharks in a teal lid (calm down, @Puckguy14 ) is something I'm absolutely here for.

Outdoor games have become “events” that teams- and fanbases- all jostle for. This is the first one for Preds fans. I can see the sweaters selling like hot cakes assuming they aren’t outright atrocious.

Which they likely won’t be. Winter Classic sweaters aren’t always amazing but I don’t think there’s ever been a truly bad one.
