Just like Cincinnati’s new logo, this is trash.

I wish this club club nothing but the worst.

It's only matter of time until an opposing supporters group dubs Nashville SC  "The Dumbells", right? I'm picturing an entire supporters section clad as Hans and Franz, celebrating each goal that their team scores against Nashville SC by chanting (and clapping) - in unison - "We're here to fµ©k (clap) you up!"

So is that blue or purple?  The logo images look purpleish but the one with the redhead in the sparkly dress looks more blue.

Maybe we should consult the Utah Jazz?

the concept and idea behind the identity is so solid. i love that they've taken sound/music and tried to express that in visual forms. its a totally different expression of the cliches of "music city". its not country or blues or anything overtly, cheesy "Nashville". even the tagline "Band Together" is pretty clever and bridges musical inspiration with team sports. they set themselves up for an absolute home run of a brand identity with the concept

and they went down swingin'... even down to the colors; its very Predators like, so its not unique in their own market, and the blue is so dark it looks like the Crew's palette. the sound waves and N are neither accurate nor abstract enough to be believable. it has a sense of heavy-duty, construction pieces rather than music or sound, which does it no more favors in trying to separate from the Crew. im not sure if this had too many revision or not enough, but visuals are simply disappointing.

The only two things I like about the Nashville branding is that they kept the name and they kept gold/yellow/mustard or whatever you want to call it. The USL branding is 1000 times better than what was released today.

My thoughts exactly. I will probably just continue to wear my current stuff instead of buying anything with this on it.

You know, say what you will about America. Thirteen bucks still gets you a hell of a load of mice.

Am I the only one who thought the USL identity was bad too? I think the new logo's is way worse, but it's not like I'll ever look back at the previous logo and get nostalgic for better times.

That was merely bad.

This is monumentally awful.

Please don’t compare this garbage to The much better FC Cincy logo. This is on the Revs level of bad.

Yeah. You're right. I just don't get the people who think that the previous logo is what should have come up to MLS with them. With hindsight I suppose we can say that just because of how big of a downgrade this is, but before this came out there's no way I would have advocated for keeping the previous logo. Even with this disastrous effort I'd be more inclined to say they should try again instead of retaining the previous set.

I think the USL one needed some work but people like it because they are drawn in by the core -- the six-string sash and that cool, art-deco-y N shape. The rest of it needed to go. But if anything, you'd think that that would be a good excuse to modify a fair amount and avoid some of the legal hassle of Minnesota's crest promotion.

What they ended up with does have some cool ideas, like @BrandMooreArt alluded to, but it just seems like the final product is so rushed. Even the colors. Beyond looking like the sorta-nearby Crew, the hexes they picked are these really horrible vibratey shades, like they had the web-safe pallette on in Photoshop. Not the nice, complementary shades that the Preds and the city flag use.

Looks like they chose an octagon because that's the shape the sound wave-N makes.

Here's what it looks like when you removed Nashville SC and squish the octagon back to size

It almost seems like this is what they should have gone with if they were gonna change.
