Mariners too.

Well, that roll has stopped for now. Houston has taken a couple of games in Seattle... but there is the home run streak. 17 games and counting. :)

8 before the muts even got an out.

I was was sitting there looking around just hoping against hope that Tnak had made the trip down and was in the stands.

The Mariners lost six in a row last week but remain the best team in baseball. The Astros are a game back in the division though, so I don't expect this to be a trend that continues for much longer.

It might be a little safe to say that Boston isn't very good. Is this just gonna be a trend, with them winning a WS once in every five years while being inconsistently poor in between?

I would accept that bargain for any of my teams.

Just in time for the Red Sox to sweep the first-place Rays.

Writing this post after getting a road sweep against the first place team in their division is curious timing.

Boston will rip off 15-20 straight at some point this year, the media will talk about how they’re back “against the odds”, and they’ll be pushing 100+ wins again by the time it’s all said and done.

Making major proclamations about teams before the end of the first month is usually unwise. Especially when the proclamation goes so heavily against the expectations.

Cody Bellinger and Christian Yelich made that LAD-MIL series fun to watch. If that ends up being the NLCS again, it should be something.

One series; cool. Now they just need to keep it up.

That's awfully far down the line. Is everything through 2025 already set and I don't know it?

2025 should be in Boston (since it would be 250 years since Lexington and Concord) .  maybe 2027 should be in NYC (at Yankee Stadium).

so long and thanks for all the fish.

The Angels used every position player and even forfeited the DH spot in their 14-inning loss to the Yankees last night. Mike Trout got on base in the 9th and 11th, but was squandered. Thursday's starting pitcher Trevor Cahill, who came on in the 14th as a pinch hitter, struck out swinging to end the game.

:censored: this team.
