Also, this guy I used to play hockey with said that he liked it because of the strategy involved. I could never get into it myself, however. I was really frustrated when I couldn't transfer the skill set to archery in junior-year gym class. Any sport where a guy the size of Andy Fordham can be a champion: It doesn't feel like it should count as a sport in the same way poker shouldn't, but there's also a level of danger in allowing inebriated people to just throw sharp objects around that I respect. Darts is reasonable popular in Ontario, but usually as a thing to do while you hang out with buddies at a bar. I wouldn't call it a sport...more a distraction from the awful live band that's probably playing. I'm a big fan of James and Jimmie. Been listening to them for two years now, I've even seen them live twice for STM. I am sure that the hosts of the that podcast do a good job relaying it to their audience. I liked Hall when he was with the Yankees. He looked so cool in his uniform. But I soured on him when the rumour surfaced that he had been tormenting young Bernie Williams. Who could imagine that that would be the least of Hall's bad deeds! Give a listen to the two shows I mentioned. On The Infinite Inning, host Steven Goldman opens each episode with an extended historical tale that serves as a parable. And on Good Seats Still Available, host Tim Hanlon explores the histories of past leagues such as the AAFC, the NASL, the MISL, and many others, as well as some specific topics, such as Ft. It makes sense. In Formula 1, the courses are some of the most challenging out there and Indy Car has some of the same type of courses. NASCAR, on the other hand, is mostly ovals. I went to the Fontana Speedway about 15 years ago and it was fine but not something I ever wanted to go to again.
