IF the volt is more a greener tint than yellow, and IF they can keep it to an absolute minimum, it probably could work. Still, though, not something I wanna feel on too much. That said, it may be wise to pay some mind to what's going on at Oregon right now, because I can also see that Apple green they use being presented, and pressed, to the Jets brass as well... That apple green helmet Oregon used is amazing.

BBTV
The Jets have never had a "wild" uniform, have always been a pretty traditional team, have had really only two main looks (albeit with variations), and have had consistent ownership for the last 20 years (not considering Chris Johnson a "new" owner since he's just keeping the bed warm... I think.) The main criteria for teams that go off the deep end are either a recent change in ownership and new owners that want to leave their mark, and lack of tradition altogether. The Jets don't meet either of those. There's no reason to believe they'll change to something wild. By the 1980’s, this is what the band was doing: Embarassing hair metal, which followed a run of some decent (for some) disco-rock, a concept album, and a duo of hard rock albums (Creatures of the Night and Lick it Up). A lot of this phase rightfully belongs in the 1980s dustbin. Heck, “Heaven’s on Fire” has the power to turn people cellibate. Back to the Jets, I’d rather just have Kelly back with maybe an additional accent color (light grey preferably - but in smaller doses than the Eagles used). Multi-green really doesn’t suit the team’s traditional aesthetic all that well. Saw it on some lawn flag at Home Depot in addition to this. Wonder if they might be heading that direction with the redesign by combining the pre-Namath and Sack Exchange era helmets or something like that. [all just observations, don't take this as a sure fire thing] I've been seeing it a lot too over the past few years but... I don't really like it. The word mark is awkwardly shoved into the awkwardly shaped plane silhouette. They are really pushing the 80s Jets word mark tho.

JayMac
I can see it now. Nike will have a custom number font for the Jets. There will be jet shaped serifs (like the jet on the 80s Jets helmet) on the numbers.

You could have at least used a better song, like "Tears Are Falling." To be fair, this is what bands were wearing in 1985--although KISS probably wore it worse than most. Speaking as a huge Kiss fan and a huger Paul Stanley fan, I have to agree. The only albums which I consider bad are Animalize (1984) (from which comes the execrable "Uh! All Night") and Asylum (1985). And their look was embarrassing in that period. Not until the early 1990s (my favourite period of the band) would they return to a cool look. But for me the use of a darker green as an accent colour would be preferable to the use of black or grey (even if a simple two-colour kelly green and white scheme would be best of all). Teal
Have we gotten any information as to what direction the jets are heading towards? I remember early on in the Jags process, it was known they will be going more "traditional". Do we have any clues as to this new set?
