Nah. They lost the Stanley Cup Final last year. I think they already know about pain and suffering. They just know how it feels to suffer before the month of May.

I don't think there's any part of making the Finals in your first year that can be considered "pain and suffering." Go talk to a Jackets, Sabres, Leafs, or Panthers fan about pain and suffering. Those fans know misery.

Thunder Bay Lynx - International Hockey Association (2 seasons, 2017-18, 2019-20, 2018 Xtreme Cup Champions)Houston Armadillos - Major League Hockey (2 seasons, 2016-18) | Minnesota Muskies - North American Basketball Association (1 season, 2017-2018) | Louisville Thoroughbreds - United League of Baseball (1 season, 2017, 2017 United Cup Champions) | Las Vegas Thunderbirds - International Basketball League (1 season, 2016-17, 2017 Champions)

And all of the young hockey fans in Las Vegas learned a valuable lesson tonight about the pain, suffering, and general misery that is required to be a fan of an NHL team.

Hooooh man! They are melting down on social media! Great comeback, Sharks!

My team loses Stanley Cup finals games in OT 3 times on the road in 1 year so it could get A LOT WORSE, Vegas.

OH WHO EVEN CARES THEY’RE JUST GOING TO LOSE IN THE NEXT ROUND ANYWAY.

YES.

Welcome to the NHL now, Vegas. This is what it's really like down here. This'll be good for you in the long run. The serendipitous life of the Golden Knights finally hits a rough patch.

Also, you were up 3-1 in the series and 3-0 in the game and you still had overtime. Spare me your tears about the five-minute major call.

Bye.

So, the same ol' Yank B.S. continues in the NHL, huh?

Governing only to make Canada's teams the personal slaves of the 24 U.S. NHL clubs?

This only goes to show me that anyone who takes the side of those clubs, Bettman, and the NHL on NBC, collectively, deserve only one thing...their necks stomped on just for doing it.

I, personally, have had it up to here with those 3 entities getting away with any crap they want at all at Canada's expense. All 3 are nothing but useless freeloaders and worthless scofflaws who don't pay the bills that Canada's 7 clubs + Sportsnet/CBC/TSN send them every year.

Hell, the U.S. should consider itself lucky the NHL is even in that country at all. But, of course, it breaks down to the same old social and economic maxim...the U.S. is grateful for absolutely not one thing they have and get to experience, because they wield all the power and control in every international relationship they engage in.

This is how I think it's time that Canada's NHL markets should stop playing nice with our southern 'neighbors'.

A] No longer sell ANY U.S. NHL gear, including championship gear, in ANY stores across Canada(both brick/mortar and online)

B] All those stores burn all their existing stock of that gear, and sell it to no one.

C] No longer allow ANY Canadian travel company to sell road trip tickets to any of the 24 U.S. NHL venues.

D] Ban fans from wearing ANY gear from those clubs inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver(MASSIVE no-no there), the ScotiaBank SaddleDome in Calgary(HELL NO!), Rogers Place in Edmonton(FORGET THAT!), Bell MTS Centre in Winnipeg, ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto(SCREW YOU BOSTON!), Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa(DUCK HUNT IN PERPETUITY!), and the Bell Centre in Montreal.

E] No longer allow U.S. NHL club fans to buy tickets to any NHL games in those 7 venues.

F] No longer allow U.S. NHL club fans to enter those venues to watch non-game NHL events(drafts, et al).

G] Ban the NHL on NBC from entering Canada for coverage of ANY game here, Cup Final included.

H] Ban Bettman from entering any border crossing into Canada period.

I] Ban fans from wearing any U.S. NHL gear in any of Canada's NHL buildings.

and J] Terminate Bettman's job, dissolve the corrupt pro-U.S/anti-Canada Board of Governors that don't make CANADA FIRST! decisions, and create a new 7-person tribunal to govern the league, to ensure MANDATORY 50-50 cross-border balance for all things NHL(roster equalization, same number of teams from each country in each division, et al).

I've had it with U.S. control over the league, I've had it with those who support that, and I'm more than welcoming to anyone who's had it up to here with it as much as I AM!

So, who's with me here?

Just asking.

It's not the US teams' fault that the Canadian teams are either ineptly run (or run on the cheap *cough*Ottawa*cough*), horrifyingly unlucky, or have fanbases who are so intensely passionate that most NHL players (who are apparently shrinking violets) can't wait to sign FA deals with US teams.

Bravo, San Jose... I was expecting the usual, but that didn't happen. Instead, they grew some big balls and came back to win.

Will this get rid of the stench of years past? No... but does it feel good for Sharks fans? Yeah. This has to feel really good.

Well, Ragin' is right there in his name. I guess we shouldn't be surprised. :flagcanada:

At least I'm not a two-faced hockey fan when it comes to supporting teams in Canada. Unlike all those who are fans of U.S. franchises, where loyalty is s**t to them, loyalty means something to me.

When it comes to Canada's teams, they're the only ones worth half of a damn. The U.S. teams aren't sacred cows, and shouldn't be worshipped like the false messiahs they all are.

Excuse me sir, there’s only room enough in this thread for one person to be irrationally angry over the results of a hockey game and make hairbrained, emotionally charged proclamations that make them seem unhinged. I’d appreciate it if you would stop infringing on the territory I have already firmly claimed as my own.

Then it pleases me to be the 1st to infringe.
