One of the rare times i will ever cheer for a team in St Louis. And if the Cards faced the Tribe in the World Series, would that count too?
SFGiants58 14,558 Posted June 13, 2019 Congrats, St. Louis! You've finally done it, even if you had to make it a little tense at the end. With that, all of the surviving '67 teams have a Stanley Cup to their name! Can the honorary '67 expansion team (via de-merger) get it next? Please?

infrared41 9,475 Posted June 13, 2019 I figured after they lost game six at home, the Blues were done. Game seven went exactly like I thought it was going to go...except the Blues played the role of the Bruins. Damned fine win, Blues.
Kramerica Industries 2,073 Posted June 13, 2019 Never in my life expected the Bruins to lose three home games in this series. What a massive relief. Blues were all about doing it the hard way this season, so it's only appropriate that they were going to have to finish it the hard way. They did. Congratulations.

And I'd put them in that order of likelihood. I could see any of these teams pulling it out next year. They’re all built for the future, which bodes well for them. I’d add Colorado to this list, too.

The Blues it felt like they still had the jitters in the 1st period. Boston looked like the stronger team throughout the beginning. Somehow, they got one past Tukka before they were scored on. That changed everything. Once the Blues finally got into that ''zone'', it was lights out for Boston. What type of game would the Blues have played, if somehow the Bruins would have struck first by some chance? I think the Blues would have collapsed. But then again, Binnington was a brick wall tonight, so who knows?

The Avs could definitely contend, though.

Boston came out swinging and Binn blocked every single one of them. He lets even 1 though, and I think that changes the whole momentum of the game.

If any goalie has had Ice Water in his veins in these Finals, it's gotta be Binnington.
