The "my team is just the best!" combined with "you need to hear my trauma!" is a Boston sports fan special that has been roundly hated for a generation.

Part of rooting for an all-time great team is being gracious in victory and defeat; Brass does this really well in the NFL threads with the Pats.

You can say whatever you want. I'm just helpfully pointing out how it comes off. Which is poorly.

You know what's really nice about the Invision Power Boards line of online message boarding communities? They have this really nifty feature where you can adjust the filters in your settings on what you can see. So, if you go to the top of the page, you can click on your member title on the right (It's next to the upside down triangle). That'll bring up a menu option that gives you several really neat little features to play with. The first two options are listed under the 'Content' section. Here you can view your profile, where you can adjust your signature and play with all sorts of nifty customization features. You can also check any attachment you've made here, which I don't use much, but I guess it's nice to have, just in case you're ever curious. After that, you have several features listed under the 'Settings' headline. Here you can adjust your followed content, get a bit deeper into your profile settings, and even ignore certain users if you so choose. Let's talk about that particular feature for a second, shall we? Once you click on that feature, you can add any member you like to a list that prevents you from seeing any of their content and (I hope) prevents them from seeing any content you post.

You can feel free to add me to that list any time you'd like :)

Losing these next two games to the 8th seeded Clippers would be the most perfect way for the Warriors' current dynasty to come to an end, but there's no way that's going to happen. The Clippers deserve a lot of credit for winning two games on the road against the defending champs and I hope they can at least force a Game 7. I love watching the trio of Beverly/Williams/Harrell battling on every play.

K, THIS is where I meant to put this.

Have you ever had a time where you ended up dating the most beautiful and popular girl you know, and despite the accolades and praise that comes with that (popularity, clout, etc) you end up getting to the point where you’re just SO goddamn sick of her and all the baggage that comes along with it?

Thats kinda what this Warriors team feels like at times. I’m actually starting to wonder if they would play better, or in the very least be more fun to watch, if Durant ends up leaving.

West Coast Simmons with the tortured metaphors over here.

As if anyone on this board has ever dated a beautiful popular girl.

LeBron haters: “Why does everyone talk about LeBron all the time? There are other players in the NBA you know!”

Also LeBron haters: *in discussions not related to LeBron at all* “Haha LUL LeBrick couldn’t even get his team to the playoffs! MJ’s still the GOAT and he always will be!!!!111!1!!!!1”

What else do the Thunder need? They got two superstars on their roster, but can only muster a six seed and a first round exit. As much as I hate to say it, George would've been better off in Los Angeles.

Shooters. George did get injured at the end of the season

College sports as we know them are just about dead. The lid is off on all the corruption that taints just about every major program and every decision that the schools or the NCAA make is only about money, money, and more money. We'll have three 16+ team super-conferences sooner rather than later, killing much of the regional flair and traditional rivalries that make college sports unique and showing the door to any school that doesn't bring money to the table in the process. Pretty soon the smaller schools are going to have to consider forming their own sanctioning body to keep the true spirit of college sports alive because the NCAA will only get worse in it's excess from here

Bucfan only said he so sick of winning that he does not enjoy it anymore and compared the Warriors success to dating a beautiful girl and the attention that comes with it, and of course with success comes jealousy from others.

Boston fans will go on about how the Pats and Red Sox are still underdogs while bringing up how great their teams have been in the 21st century.

I would jump for joy if the Jets Knicks and Rangers win a championship while I am still alive, while I see that Boston kid at the parades updating his sign.. Now 12 titles before he hits puberty.

I wasn’t even really talking about me, but the team and their relationship with one another. I was just saying that despite all of the success and how awesome Durant has been, there seems to be a sort of resentment because of all the negative crap they have to deal with amongst each other. It’s been a constant media blitz for the past three seasons, Durant is often times cranky as hell, and (at least I get the feeling) that even Curry has had to kind of stifle his game a bit to accommodate how much iso Durant demands within that offense. There also seems to be a genuine animosity between KD and Draymond (even if they deny it), Curry is probably somehow underutilized, and Klay gives off the vibe that he’s just sick of dealing with it all and may want a different situation.

I didn’t even say it wasn’t worth it or anything. Just that it’s different than these guys seem to have expected, and I’m assuming from all of the outward signs they’ve been showing, not as much fun as anticipated.

I think more than anything it just goes to show that even crazy amounts of success can’t overcome some of the ego stuff. And it’s not the first time this has happened, either. Kobe and Shaq probably sacrificed a fourth title together because they wanted to get away from each other so bad. The Heat had a lot of tension at times and LeBron decided to go back home. Hell, even the Celtics Big 3 have had periods where nobody would tak to Ray Allen.

I just find it interesting because it’s one of the things I think can be overlooked in all of this.

The LA Clippers have been eliminated by the Warriors.

We don’t have any words and we know you don’t want to hear them.

We understand your anger, your frustration, your sadness. Everything you’re feeling – we get it.

This isn’t the ending we imagined, and certainly not the one we wanted. Thank you for being there the entire way.

Imagine losing all of your home games in the series... yeah, who would ever do that?

Seriously though, the Clippers put up a great fight. I’m not yet worried if I’m Golden State, but they’ll have to show up vs Houston.

Sometimes KD is the best player in the game and there's really nothing you can do about it.

I don't think we talk enough about what a killer he's been in the playoffs with Golden State. The offense is best when it flows through Steph, but KD has been their most consistent guy and it isn't close.

KD contract is up next year isn't it?

I can't see him staying in GS, especially since it already looks like they're starting to decline.

I can't see him leaving. Him, Curry and Thompson could stay there indefinitely while others rotate through trying to get rings.

Durant has a Player Option for the 2019-20 season.  He can remain in Golden State and earn $31.5M by taking the option, or he can decline the option and hit free agency again.  He must decide by June 29.  If he opts out, his service time allows him to earn 35% of the cap, which is likely to be $109-110M, so if he takes a Max Contract, he'll earn just over $38.1M.

Both Durant and Klay have full Bird rights and can get Max Contracts this summer.  Klay's max salary is $32M with 8% raises if he remains there.
