Driveball Concept Series (New Lakers Primary)

Recommended Posts

Cincinnati Hounds - Tie-in to Taft's main asset, Hanna-Barbera; much as The Huckleberry Hound Show started H-B's rule over the TV cartoon world, the Cincinnati Hounds would look to start a new rule over the Driveball world.

Denver Majestics - In honor of the "purple mountain majesties" in the Rockies...also could go with a patriotic theme (Remember, Hispanic Americans have been starting to boycott Coors this year because of what they see as discriminatory hiring practices, so the company is looking for whatever they can get to boost up their PR).

Prototype logo leaked to the Denver Post. The Denver owners haven't specified team colors yet, but judging by the "M" mountain inside the "D," the name could either be Majestics, Miners or even 14ers.

Given the aforementioned boycott, "Miners" may bring up all the wrong images (especially for a company trying to withstand a Hispanic-led boycott...the LAST thing they'd want to do to improve relations is to make blue-collar workers their "mascot.")

@MBurmy

I guess you're right. Still prefer Majestics?

Yes indeed...it would play up the "purple mountain majesties" theme. (14ers would be a close second)

I love purple and blue together, I would suggest lighting the blue though to increase the contrast with the purple. More like a Carolina or baby blue would look better IMO.

While I give everybody more time for input on Denver's colors...

League champion Cleveland is making subtle tweaks to their logos and colors.

Found this image below in an article about Cincy's pre-1968 football entries:

A bit of a shame that the Roman heritage of Cincinnati's name isn't utilized in sports concepts. Names like Romans, Gladiators, Centurions...would those work? Cincy will be getting pro football in this universe, but it'll likely still be the Bengals.

The Denver Majestics franchise has officially been granted. Here are the uniforms for the team's inaugural season:

I like my idea of lions. That plays on both Queen City and Rome. Also, Why don’t you try using a more evident shade of purple on the Majestics?

Denver is a pure beauty!

Thanks.

The Majestics will play their home games at a Mile High Stadium that will be expanded in phases:

It’s very wide, I’d shrink the sides up, I’d also make the (idk what it’s called) thing on top of the helmet, bigger. Look at the Michigan State logo and USC logo to get some examples on how the proportions are
