Cincinnati Hounds - Tie-in to Taft's main asset, Hanna-Barbera; much as The Huckleberry Hound Show started H-B's rule over the TV cartoon world, the Cincinnati Hounds would look to start a new rule over the Driveball world.

Denver Majestics - In honor of the "purple mountain majesties" in the Rockies...also could go with a patriotic theme (Remember, Hispanic Americans have been starting to boycott Coors this year because of what they see as discriminatory hiring practices, so the company is looking for whatever they can get to boost up their PR).

Given the aforementioned boycott, "Miners" may bring up all the wrong images (especially for a company trying to withstand a Hispanic-led boycott...the LAST thing they'd want to do to improve relations is to make blue-collar workers their "mascot.")

I guess you're right. Still prefer Majestics?

Yes indeed...it would play up the "purple mountain majesties" theme. (14ers would be a close second)

C&C Welcome.

Found this image below in an article about Cincy's pre-1968 football entries:

A bit of a shame that the Roman heritage of Cincinnati's name isn't utilized in sports concepts. Names like Romans, Gladiators, Centurions...would those work? Cincy will be getting pro football in this universe, but it'll likely still be the Bengals.
