Bro, the mavs have a death line up now, send out Boban and Kristaps. (Maybe they should have gotten Tacko Fall as well).

Excellent!

All this Kawhi Leonard announcement stalling is becoming a drag. A user on social media might have a point: he's off to the Lakers but has a hard time coming out to officially admit it. He'll be letting a whole country down.

Imagine the boos when the Lakers visit Toronto.

GG Clippers!

What a Woj bomb. Right after a series of the biggest earthquakes in Cali in the last 25 years, Kawhi and PG teaming up on the Clippers might be an even bigger one.

Lakers and Clippers might develop a true rivalry now. I’d imagine this thrusts the Clippers into one of the top 3 to 4, contenders, yeah?

What a strange night haha.

P.S. Never trust rumors! (Bit me hard this week :P )

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

So the Clippers weren't ever out of the race then, like some were implying. This is a huge moment for this franchise; I hope it pays off for them and their fans.

For Toronto, I still think they're a top tier team in the East, but this makes it all the more open. I've never been this excited for an NBA season.

This is a gut punch to The Toronto Raptors franchise. It's like what can you do to match offers from the Cali teams down in the West Coast? How can they sign anyone under a decent sized contract?

The thunder looted LA of everything. A lot like the Nets Celtics trade from what seems like forever ago. But I would assume this pays off much better in presumably at least one Larry O’Brien. With the roster the clips have rn, I’d say they might be the best team in the west, with KD in the east and lebron without, well, a team. Speaking of Lebron, what kind of damper does this put on his legacy. Last year it was Paul George, this year it was Kawhi, two guys that were certain to be lakers are now clippers. Which is eerily similar to how both Kyrie and KD ended up on the Nets.

Way way way way to early predictions for the finals, Bucks in 7 over the Clippers

This sounds like literally what all the smaller-sized or cold weather NBA cities deal with.

All you can really do is simply be grateful that you managed a title out of this.

I have so much more respect for Kawhi after hearing this.

Guess the PG trade also explains why Kawhi was dragging his feet with the announcement.

I'm also glad to see the Lakers plan blow up in their face. They already have AD & Lebron, and there were plenty of other FA they could have made a run at (Kemba, Butler, Kyrie, etc. ). But in the end they just got greedy.

Knicks and Lakers offseason dreams both blew up. People were saying Kyrie, KD and Zion would play Lebron, Kawhi and AD in the finals next year. Now LA’s championship hopes are significantly crushed, and the Knicks, well their the Knicks. But at the same times, both the B teams, the Clips and Nets look like better teams with better chances of winning it all. Funny how it all works out huh

Honestly Knicks shouldn't even count at this point. They are so god damn inept the NFL really needs to step in & oust Dolan.

Lakers are at least lucky AD & Lebron fell into their laps.

Considering how the division looks now with the Clippers & Warriors, it's possible The Lakers may not even make the playoffs.

Valid points.

Now I'm just waiting to find out where Kyle Lowry will play...

I can't believe it. The only thing that compares with this is getting Chris Paul, but that was a trade. The Clippers actually signed a big free agent.

One thing that can't be a coincidence: After meeting with the Lakers, we heard 60 announcements that it was "official" he's signing with them. His meeting with the Raptors was mobbed by half of Canada and we get the "99% sure" report from Jalen Rose. But we heard absolutely nothing from his meeting with the Clippers. They kept silent the whole time. No leaks. I'm sure the Quiet Man appreciated that.

Haha! This is my favorite off season EVER. My team lost one of the best pure scorers in the history of the league and I’m still absolutely over the moon with how all this went.

This is has to sting for Toronto, but as a Warriors fan, I’m ok with that. Nothing against the Raptors, but they got what they wanted either way.

Nothing I love seeing in basketball more than the smug sense of arrogance a lot of Lakers fans have get knocked down a peg or two. They just lost out on a HUGE superstar to the junior team in their building, who now for probably the first time ever has the roster to legitimately go toe to toe with a really talented Lakers team.

My very best friend is an absolutely DIE HARD Clippers fan and has been for at least 20 years now. I’ve watched some absolutely terrible basketball with him over the years. Couldn’t be more stoked for him.

What a a bright future the NBA has.
