Where will Westbrook end up since it doesn't make sense for him or the Thunder for him to stay in OKC?

Where else could he possibly go with that contract, though? I keep seeing the Raptors pop up, but for who? Lowry and a ton of draft picks? That doesn’t make any sense for either side, imo.

Boogie is a Laker on a 1-year deal, so he'll play the 5.

I added your post as I saw it pop up as I was going to write about OKC.

As for OKC, they're blowing this up, right?  Westbrook, Adams, and Schroeder are due $79M in 2019-20 and $84M in 20-21.  Plus, Billy Donovan is only signed through this season after his option was picked up during last season.

Will Presti bolt to DC?

I am sure the Raptors offered the max, but the Paul George trade was the kicker.

Turns out it's true. Toronto offered 5 yr 190 million, apparently.

I didn't know the Raptors had that much money to give one player. At least they tried.

In the midst of all the sadness and frustration from fans upset they no longer have a premium player like Kawhi on their team, when all of that settles down, it's true that you can't blame someone to put family first.

It's a really touch scenario for the Raptors. But at least I have a better idea of the financials.

Toronto has Lowry, Gasol, Serge and VanVleet expiring this season.

Orlando seems to have space  for Westbrook and Miami may go big after they cut and stretched Ryan Anderson this afternoon to get under the cap for the Butler sign and trade.

Boogie to the Lakers.

Boy that’s... That’s a bit of a slow team they got going there. Like, pontoon boat on a man made lake in the south kinda slow.

They signed Danny Green too.  Jeanie Buss need to get Jimmer on a base contract as opposed to Klutch client KCP.  That d@mn team won't play much defense anyway.

Rondo is back too. Hopefully, just for "Playoff Rondo".

Well, they are coached by Frank Vogel, who is used to a plodding 5 with Roy Hibbert.

And you know this song...

I hate to say this but in my opinion....

2019-2020 NBA Season > 2019-2020 NFL Season probably because we most likely know the outcome of the NFL season (Tom Brady wins #7).  The NBA Season is wide open.  We don't know who is going to win now.

Thankfully, I've never come here for your opinion.

Is it fair to say that the Clippers just leapfrogged the Warriors as the best team in the West this year?

Leonard is only playing 3/4th of a regular season due to "load management". Paul George may have the same limit, yet "Playoff P" really isn't anything special.

If everyone is healthy come playoff time, you think they could beat a healthy Warriors team with Klay back in the lineup? Kawhi, Paul George and Pat Beverly is a hell of a defensive trio. Plus, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell coming off the bench? I might have to pick the Clippers.

This is a gut punch to The Toronto Raptors franchise.

I mean...is it?

Look. We've all known Kawhi would likely be gone after one year. We all knew that going in. And the team, and Kawhi, made the most of that year. The Raptors are NBA Champions. Something I never thought I'd ever see. I'll always be grateful for what he did for this team and fanbase. I'm not mad, I'm not disappointment. I'm grateful that, despite being in a situation he clearly didn't prefer, he opted to give it his all and do something special for this team. He'll always be the greatest Raptor in my book. I wish him nothing but the best in LA. It'll be interesting to see a Lakers/Clippers rivalry that's actually fun.

That being said...

It's the Clippers. I look forward to their upcoming second round collapse against...I donno...the Jazz or something :P
